***Euro GT500 Championship***Race #3 Thread CLOSING, NEW 1 IS UP!!***

I've made the trip to TM as a spectator thanks to my teammate Nissman:tup:

I'm going to watching from the banking at turn 10. Truly spectacular place to watch as cars come shooting over the crest into the right. If you get a chance give me wave:D

Hey Niss I asked for a wave not a rude hand gesture :D

Well done for your win.

Great race tonight, very well organized. 👍

Had an almost perfect race, no mistakes for a change aldo had lots of work with lapping cars but it all went quite smothly.
Really suprised to hit 1.14.xxx for the first time in TM with the Lexus, tried lost of times with GTR, never made it. This time I manage to put a lap together.

Great series going on here. Cant wait for the next race. :dopey:

Congrats bro!

All I can do is look forward to Tokyo and hope for a better race

Sorry for holding you up Nissman I was trying to get out of the way but hit the bank at the hairpin while trying to do so

UNOFFICIAL TABLE AFTER RACE #3

Race report (short version) :

Started from 5 position.
As i knew it would be hard to keep up with the rest of the pack so i tried to stay on track.... but i failed to do so, spinning, crashing and making small mistakes all the time.
Then my plan failed. Before the race I thought i could go for a 2 stopper but I was wrong, did 3 stops and almost had to do one more due to tire wear.

Under the circumstances I´m very happy with 7 place and I will be back at the podium next week ;)

See you in Tokyo!

Tokyo is going to be an NSX/Nismo Z '06 track i think...

EDIT:

At least until me and Max have done like 5000 laps on it ;)

Btw, have you thought about my awesome idea?

Chris

Well, if I´m really honest...Monaco is for Karting cars....If You leave all the glamour off, theres
nothing left.:) Don´t suite these cars at all imo.

But We could discuss letting every team choose
which car they want from now on.......?!💡

Trial Mountain = NSX Worst Nightmare:tdown:

Actually i´m happy with nsx and will stick to it...

The thing i´m concerned about is the pp-rating. The nsx is to slow with this pp I think, I´m 1,5s slower on TM, 1,2s on laguna and barely equal at Fuji so far, compared to my own times with gtr.
Actually I don´t think the nsx will be that much faster in any of the tracks left. If it´s even going to be faster.
The top end speed is about the same with pp 605 but you are slower in corners, It´s more nervous wich leads to more mistakes and it´s much harder on tires and therefor slower and slower. And top speed is nothing with this insane drafting to be honest.

I don´t know what the proper pp should be,,, haven´t done any testing but i think i should be adjusted.

If people want to chose car freely that´s ok with me but i think it would be boring.

please feel free to express your opinion!

/Daniel

for karting? hmmm

Well its a street circuit and like the WTCC races at Pau and Macau , thought it would be awesome to have a street circuit too :)

As for the cars, i think its best if teams get to choose them at the begin of the championship... just my opinion :)

Chris

Can't see how you can say TM is a good track but monoco isn't. TM is the worst for these sort of cars. :yuck:

Night race is a must!

Also, can we sub out Grand Valley reverse? Surely there are other tracks we can use instead.

I personally like the car rule for a colorful grid and I kind of like the Lexus now. :)

And yes why Grandy Valley reverse ?

Qualified in 7th place. Had a great little battle with chris for the first few laps, made a misstake and lost the slipstream. After that I was all alone in 6th for the rest of the race. Drove the best I could and even hit my best lap so far in lap 31. 1:16.215. Couldn´t get back to Chris who did 1 stop so I decided to slow down a little in last few laps so that I couldn´t make a misstake and stayed in front of Metsa.

Was a great clean race guys. Congrats to the winners!

Hehe, we had a night race last friday......6 joined,
2 finished if I remember it right.:)

I think that Monaco is really too narrow for the
most of the racers here....

We chose GV Reverse, because we dont want slipstream tracks, narrow street tracks, and
there isn´t honestly too much great tracks in
this game that suite these cars.

EDIT: Nissman---> We have them both.

i think NSX needs more pp......im 1 sec slower with that car.

anyway.......race report

quali was really fast pace but i managed 4th which i was pretty happy with (as most races first 4 pull away anyway)
managed to hold of Glit thru first few corners.........tbf he gave me the corner n didnt challenge.
was in a 3 man train behind stretchy leaving nissman to gain a lead. pace was quite slow as John tried to find a way past Stretch.

i managed to pass John then shortly after Stretchy... i was pushin like mad to pull away from John n Stretch but seemed to have no chance of catching Nissman.
stopped on lap 13 n got out the pits cleanly with a bit of breathing space.

Saw that Nycrom & Apollo (who was now leading) tried a 1 stopper but was catching them real fast and knew they wouldnt be able to compete for the place once caught.

pulled a sweet move on Nycrom by S3 cut off and then went round Apollo later at turn 4.
decided not to pit on lap 26 as i wanted to hold out to do the shorter stint at the end.....thought it was a bit risky as John would av the 1 lap advantage.
came out the pits just ahead of him but with cold tyres he was able to catch n pass me, think it was the next lap that i got him back, but then i had the mission of trying to keep him out of my toe till the end.....think the gap remained at around 2/3 secs for most of the last stint with some near misses with spun backmarkers.
managed to hold the gap to John, whos tyres eventually gave way i think.

special shout out to ppl being lapped, always gave room n didnt try n fight the pass.

keep GV....monaco is ****

As its my birthday tomorrow can I have extra pp next race ;D I kid

Il post my race report tomorrow, I'm still crying from that backmarker xD

I had made stupid mistakes in the last races so I decided to race conservative this race and selected an easy to drive on worn tires set-up.

Qualified 3rd after Nissman and stretchy and ahead of Diesel and Apollo. Just tried to hold my position the first three laps and then I had some great close racing with Diesel and Strechy. I think Strechy pitted early and Diesel and I on lap 13. Diesel managed to pass Nycrom and Apollo better who were on a one stopper with worn tires and got a bit of a gap. Stretchy caught up and we continued to battle. As I think I had better tires, I managed to hang off Stretchy after a while and closed up on Diesel. Pitted one lap earlier than Diesel. Decided to sit on his tail for a while and then race him the last four laps thinking I had a better worn tires set-up. Unfortunately I spun on lap 36 so that was the end of that plan. Just drove very slow and safe the last four laps as there was nothing to race for.

Fun race and everybody around me raced super clean.
