Seamed like a nice clean race all in all..

My view of the race was ok..

Cleared 2 positions at the start, Nycrom had a problem with his stearing wheel sending him into the wall then i passed an NSX. Can't remember who. 1st corner was really nice for me and cars around, was clean! Next few corners had some hustling going on but nothing major until turns 6/7 (Fast S-Bend) where Doc555Venti had a huge spin and ended up facing the wrong way.. All I could see was smoke and hit him pretty hard taking out my engine, front suspension & ruined my front tyres! Lost out to 13th then due to no grip lost 13th to Doc. Had a steady race after that keeping the gap not too big. Then after the first stops i staarted to reel in GTAFreak pretty quickly. He had no grip on the front tyres and lost out to me. Then from there on was a pretty smooth race. No complaints at all apart from the first lap but that was unavoidable and nothing to kick up a fuss.

Congratulations Tony on an absolutely EPIC race pace And to Adz for keeping that Z pretty fast!

That NSX was me after being spun round..

So, pretty happy with that myself.

Q was tricky, hard to get some space on the track actually so only posted an average lap in the end which got me 5th so wasn't too bad. I had practiced my braking point on cold tyres down into turn 1 and it payed off. Sliced nicely up the inside of Peltonen and into second from 5th. Kept it clean for the first couple of laps, desperate to not let the guys behind catch a slipstream. Thank god I had the Z trimmed down to the most minimum wing possible.
Then it was a case of watching Tony pull away (In a different race today:tup:) knowing i couldn't catch him I just kept things nice and smooth to keep the tyres in check rather than going all out attack. Pulled a good few seconds on eppe/peltonen/glitterus who were having a nice battle.
After my stop I caught Diesel in the middle of a spin (sorry) and again tried to look after the tyres with 17 laps left on them. I could see the gap to Glitterus behind on the straight so just kept it steady without killing the tyres, in the end this payed off and I pulled away. Last couple of laps I was worried about Peltonen coming through on a 2 stop but It ended up a comfortable 2nd. Pleased to have no mistakes and beat Peltonen for a change!:sly:

Im happy with my 4th place as well (one more of the worst tracks ever is done)...

(I accidently kicked AYRTONSCHUMACHER when I was about to add him as a friend on PSN) so we had to restart the room twice because of people not able to come in to the room. Sorry for that guys.

I knew my qualify would be a disaster and it was, starting in 7th place.
When the start came i dropped down to 8th for a while there but caught up right away. Johnkiller had a lousy start from 2nd or 3rd and all of a sudden he was right in front of me. I could only watch my team mate Nissman fly away with Marlboro Man upp his a s s :). I was rammed badly in the first couple of corners and I will check the replay together with the other stewards.
Anyway the Chris managed to go in front of the guy hitting me so I gained a gap to him and caught up with the pack chasing for 3rd. It was Johnkiller, Lennox, Stretchy and Apollo. Johnkiller managed to break loose and I was still struggling with the Yellowhat pack :) but eventually I got rid of them and started to gain on Jk for a couple of laps but made way to many misstakes and soon the Yellowhat pack was right up my a s s again :). I saw that their tires was getting really worn so I just stayed behind them waiting for them to pit and they did so I could pass. AYRTONSCHUMACHER gained alot of time but after the pit stop I managed to pull away a bit again. And then came Marlboro Man along again having a battle for 4th with AS. Making me pull away even further. Marlboro passed me and I was not able to keep his pace since my tires was getting way to worn. Any ways I slowed down a bit and caught some back markers who did an excellent job btw. And when the last lap came I knew that I could take it really easy and not risk making any serious misstakes.
I came 4th and im really happy!

Off to bed now! See you guys @ Nürburgring... And Falcon -> This one's mine!!! ;)

just about the worse race possible.
Q'd it 2nd behind toni, n thought i had sorted brakin into 1......unfortunetly toni's low aero gave me a big slip n couldnt stop the car into 1 n hit the wall.that put me 9th with cars behind me slippin me....... kinda lost my head a bit as i knew i needed to make passes sharpish.
made up a few spots but then an error cost me dear n i was bk in 9th/10th... would av cost me too much to overtake them again so pitted a lap early n jumped them by a good few seconds with a clear track ahead, posted up some quick laps which put me 3rd after the 1 stoppers pitted.....

unfortunetly got a right tank slapper on out of turn one which i held but as i put my footdown it started to spin the other way n adz hit me (not his fault) n i spun....that put me right bk down.

on the 3rd stint i was too far bk to catch the group ahead, n was just chillin really, that was until i saw eppe dying on his tyres with 4 laps to go...i picked up the pace n was in a akward situation with gta between me n him, dirty air caused me to run wide into last turn n didnt av enough straight to slip eppe by 0.2

lost wat should av bn a haul of points....but i won the pre race at nurb so should make up some points

i might b a team mate short adz.........?

WP Nissman

Was an OK race too many mistakes on my part along with many laps fighting alongside Apollo and others, think a top 3 could have been on the cards had I'd not done so rubbish in quali and been fighting for 90% of the race!

oh, sorry about the love tap Apollo!

Was good fun just need a good result next race :/

TO EVERYONE:

Next week, before You enter the race room.

1.Clear system cache in GT5 --> Options--->Network
2.Shut OFF your PC (and kids/gf/wifes also).
3.If someway possible WIRE your PS3.

Great race for me again tonight. We had some connection issues in the start but we managed to get Q underway. Manage to get 32.3 best lap for me today wich also got me the pole.
Start was perfect, I made about 4 sec differnce against Malboro and Johnkiller after 5 laps. I then saw that Malboro is going for a 2 stopper, me and John were gonig for 1 stop.
I pitted at lap 16, john also. I came out, about 6 sec behind Malboro. To my suprise i cought him quite quckly. Had a beattle for to 2 laps( few touches here and there :dunce:) but then he went for his 2nd stop, wich left me John in the lead and we basiclly just cruized home from then on. :)

Enjoying this championship very much, drivers are serius and commited and thats what matters the most.

Cant wait for the next one...aldo I really dont like Nur GP. :scared:

Great race!

Qualifying went well and starting with false start check was a first for me. Got a nice start, Diesel drafted me though but he over-outbraked me @ turn 1and ended at the barriers, great for me :dopey: because he caused a mayhem from what i saw on my mirror and i managed to get away from the pack and the draft. From then on i was all alone so i started challenging myself with my laptime-number games and a bit of drifting :sly:

Looking forward to Nurb GP, it's one hell of a track and i've never raced Super GT's there. Should be fun!

PS. Sorry if i didn't answer your chat messages after the race finished, i was in an urgent need to unload :dopey:

PS2. I forgot we have two groups, Congrats Niss and Johan , 1-2-3 for IRT 👍

This was a disaster for me.
I was flyin last weekend lapping tokyo happily in the 32's and was thinking i could win the race.
But I could not drive that track today.
Way too much understeer in the YellowHat, i will be taking Xanavi Or Calsonic after race 5.
Was doing 34's 35's during race and was very sloppy, also apologies to mathias for bumping you into the wall.

In the end i just left and gave the people behind me some spots back, i will be scratching this race off.

Good race to all and happy win for Nissman:tup:

Diesel already looking to trade me in. :(

I'm staying for the next couple of races at least anyway. I'll have to see if i can move some things around.

Nice vid Chris!

Yeah I brought a new car for the race and it was a dog. Was over half a second slower than my PB in qually

In the race I knew I had to hold the 2 stoppers up and I did so

The 1 stoppers....I would have got you guys if the backmarkers didn't screw me again! Senna and Vitali Petrov! Maybe you guys didn't see me!

I think I could have got 3rd if I didn't get done by trafic if I'm honest, me and lennox were side by side going past the line on the last lap

**** race for me but again I'm not trying to be 1# just beat the ones I think are the same talent wise to me:D

I recorded my whole race live. But it's over 2GB big lol.

We could always do a commentary session after the race. Or even during the race if anyone can live stream.

Anyone interested?

Second race after Trail Mountain going for a very conservative race and an easy to drive set-up on worn tires.

Qualified in second after Nissman, but I was too conservative in the start. Marlboro and three Yellowhats (Stretchy, Apollo, Lennox) overtook me in the first three corners. Just hanged in there for the first 3-5 laps and then started to attack. Got passed the three Yellowhats and as I did I got two decent laps and managed to develop a gap to them out of my slip-stream. When Marlboro pitted on lap 11 I knew I had a good shot for 2nd as my set-up was easy on the tires and easy to drive on a one stopper. After pitting on lap 16 I got out behind the three Yellowhats who were on two stoppers. It took me quite a few laps to get past, and it prevented me to take advantage of my fresh rubber and I started to get worried about Marlboro. With a free track I just focused on driving smooth to look after the tires. With four laps to go Marlboro was still way behind and then I concentrated to drive safe and make sure I didn't make any mistakes.

Congratz to Nissman who drove an excellent and very clean race. Too bad I didn't get a chance to race him as I think my pace was just a little slower and I could have stayed in his drag and then you never know what could happen on worn tires. The new driver Marlboro is also extremely fast and I think I finished ahead of him thanks to my strategy.

Looking forward to Nurnburg where I will have to drive with 2PP less.

Love the vid Chris, nice one again!

It wasn´t my best race. Let´s just say I´m happy I didn´t got lapped.

Great racing guys, looking forward to next week.

Thank You Chris for the Video.:)👍

Then again a reminder for everyone.
Please let us know if You´re not going
to make the race.
It quite ruined my quali yesterday when
We had a spot open for Scanny.....
I lost concentration when I saw guys
popping in the room, and I tried to say
to them that they should leave.
2 times I had to quit from fast lap to kick
out them......:ouch:

So, we have it mandatory now to signup
in the spreadsheet, we make the rooms
according to who has put the x there.

I have to say this is my best racing experience so far in gt5 and this cc. The first 10 laps was intence. I had a pretty good pace through the race, fastest lap was 1:33,1 something, low on fuel. Got bumped on lap 25-26, crashed in to a wall, burned my tires trying to get back on track. Had to change my tactic to two stops instead of a one. Thats was to bad, think i could beaten glutinous otherwise.

The guy who bumbed me was apollo, and i think he quited the race because of that incident, not necessary imo, no hard feelings on my side, its a race , **** happens!

I just watched a little replay from our group 1.
If You want to see how to use the gentleman rule,
please watch me hitting Peltonen from behind.(lap 1,corner 2)
I didn´t overtake, just waited for him to get his
car back on trail.:sly:
Luckily no one overtook us there, was pretty close....:dopey:

:scared: for that live stream......when people already got issues with connections......

DON´T USE your broadband to nothing else
than GT5 when racing online, unless You have
an 100/100 Mb connection.....:dopey:
