You see, everytime I open IE, it opens with some annoying homepage, "search-space.com", even though I try to set a different homepage. It may open the website set as a homepage the first time, but then it returns to search-space.com

Is there a way to change this? Could it be some spy bot? I have been using spy bot search but it doesnt find it.

It is spyware. Download Adaware 6, update it and scan with it. After that, download Spybot Search and Destroy, update it and scan with it. This way you can be sure that it doesn't miss anything, as in, one will find what the other misses.

Ok, thanks, I am going to look for adware now.

Also, if you are there, how could I change the issue about pages popping in in the middle of my search. Not pop-ups.

It is like I am looking into a window, click into a link, then look into the other one, but as I am looking at it, the first one I clicked (the link) pops in, and annoys me the hell out.

You've got some serious spyware embedded in your system.

I highly recommend using Spybot Search and Destroy, immediately.

It'll scare you with what it finds.

I just tried it out. It scared me. :scared:

I think I'm pretty cautious on the net. Anyway it found close to 100 spyware things. :scared: :scared:

Have you tried google? It's a marvellous invention called a "search engine". What you do is type in something that you want to find info on in the "search" box (in this case search-space) and click on search. Google then goes and searches the "interweb" for occurances of the word(s) you type in.

I've just done that and this page came up on the first page of results.

You can click on the link above (using your mouse) and read the information contained therein.

There, that wasn't too difficult was it?

Tough. Something like that was not hard to find on the internet. If it was hard to find then, by all means, ask for help, but you can't expect everything to be handed to you on a plate. You have to do a wee bit of looking for yourself every now and then.
