Evo 6.5 TME

I am playing around with this car in GT4 but have been unable to get it rotate in a corner. It either understeers or is neutral. Any ideas as to how to get it slide even a little on exit with full power? Not drifting but to slide just enough get the back to move and have some fun with.

First of all I assume you are like me in that you dont want to use driver aids? Cool...

I am at work so I cant look at my settings now but I know what you mean about the handling. Is it the RS or GSR based TME? If its the TME with AYC I would use the AYC controller and strengthen its effects. Then think about how you can give more grip to the front on turn in more so than the back using downforce and suspension settings. Then fine tune it with a bit of VCD and maybe a harder tyre with more camber than usual at the rear. Sorry for being vague but this is what I would do myself. I can dig up my TME settings later if you want although I do prefer the TME RS or the EVO IV GSR to be honest as the TME is a weighty machine.

Well, I generally don't like the effects of the AYC - steps required to catch a car that is losing frip at high speed are sometimes counterintuitive. But if it works for others, then 👍

I pose that you try dropping the front LSD accel, raising the rear accel. That seemed to work for me on the Evo VIII MR.

A lot of people in real life dont like AYC but the key to driver and machine harmony is to understand how it works and how to make it work for the driver.

I totally understand not liking AYC but if you dont want it I would say try the RS model. Mitsubishi developed AYC for a reason so I wanted to exploit it rather than avoid its use in my set up which you can check out by clicking my sig. :)

Your comments about "try dropping the front LSD accel, raising the rear accel." are totally correct though.

I dug out my old TME RS which was actually the first 4wd car I bought in the game and boy its rigid! I messed about with it a bit and have published my settings but I am not 100% happy with it. I actually prefer the GSR variant right now so I am dedicating the next few days play to trying to make the RS oversteer when needed. Has anyone else had any success?
