There's not much to dislike in the physics. On most cases it feels a bit more natural and 'organic' to me than pcars. Whether its ffb or combination with ffb and phys., don't know.

But as a game atm pcars is much more complete.

It irks me how there's no one sim that's perfect in everything.

Imagine a game with:
AC physics & FFB
PCARS career
GT car/track count
Forza customization
Driveclub graphics & weather
The Crew open world
iRacing online structure
RRRE sound
rFactor 2 live track
rFactor 1 moddability
BeamNG damage
GSCE price

Yeah, one can dream :P

Don't forget Euro Truck Sim to add in the hauling of cars and gear to track!

There's lots of development still to come in Assetto Corsa though. The next patch addresses Multiplayer and the one after that the UI. They've got a long time yet to create a deep one player experience but are listening to the players about it.

Anyway. The ability to individually choose your opponents for a race is excellent and will only get better as more cars are added.
