Expanding GT Sport Mode?

I was curious if there has been any announcements about expanding the Sport Mode to beyond the 3 daily offering (Apart from Manufacturer etc) similar to how there will be a December expansion to include many of the single player events from previous GT titles. While the daily GR.3/Gr.4 events are fun, (One make usually less enjoyable for me) the addition of a daily rally event, kart event and endurance event in which participants are required to pit and employ strategy would do wonders to alleviate the tedium that can occur; especially on days without a manufacturers event.

Short answer, no. No announcements made - generally we don't know things like that until they happen. Sometimes PD put an announcement out in advance, but there hasn't been anything declared yet.

Well, the kart race would be a one make race, right?
But agree, we should have a rally event, whats the point of having rally cars and tracks if there aren't events for them. Not being bias, as I don't like the rally mode in the GT.

No!!! Please no, for the love of all that is holy don't take up one of our 3 racing slots with a rally race.

The cadence is really wacky between race cycles. I used to be able to race back to back with 5-6 mins qualifying, now I'm having to wait 20-40 mins for same event. Really sucks. These early FIA races are hurting me bad as well.

And why the Hell did they reduce the amount of time slots for the Manufacturers and FIA events? 5-9? Seriously that's it? I work and have two young boys. When I get home I have to crap to do and by the time I get them in bed it's after 9 before I can sit down and play a game. At least run them until midnight. WTF?

They didn't reduce them, just lowered the time starts. They actually did that for the people who were complaining about the races starting too late of which I was one. By the time the races started at 9 pm I was too tired to bother. However I don't see why they could not add a 10 pm and 11 pm race.

Actually, I think they used to run from 9pm to 2 am so maybe they did remove 1 timeslot.

I'm in the EXACT same situation, 2 boys. By the time I'm home from work and everyone is settled in for the night when I can break away to do a bit of racing it's after 9PM and I've missed all the FIA racing.

Hadn't seen this thread, I probably should've posted this here:

I'm not sure they can add many more sport mode races. Remember the bug when the two FIA races started at the same time by mistake, where the fields got mixed up between them? That implies they can't currently have two races starting at the same time with match-making, so it's probably stuck at a maximum of 12 starts per hour. Also explains the cycle times of 20, 30, 60 minutes.

If the dailies stick to being one each of 20, 30 & 60 min cycles and there's two FIA races to fit in per hour, then at most there's space in the schedule for 4 more 60 min cycles, or 2 more 60 min with 1 more 30 min. If they want the flexibility of being able to run three 20 min cycles for the dailies, then there is only space for one more 60 min cycle race. Of course, in hours where there aren't FIA races there are more slots available, but their system might not cope with being able to use them.

This is the current schedule:

:00 - FIA Nations
:05 - Daily A
:10 - FIA Manufacturer
:15
:20 - Daily B
:25 - Daily A
:30 - Daily C
:35
:40
:45 - Daily A
:50 - Daily B
:55

Somehow I doubt we'll get more than three races in the dailies :(

edit: Well they proved that theory completely wrong last night! With Race A and B being on 20 min cycles (which didn't clash) and Race C on a 30 minute cycle which started at the same time as Race B every hour on the hour.

You can't please everyone, but they probably have statistics on how busy the FIA slots get and will be trying to adjust the slot times to make the "middle slot/s" the busiest. That's my guess anyway.
