Hi peps.
After reading All the guides and see some video, ive begun to make some good looking sideways BUT ! In corners with a longer distance my angle die half way through :/ how do i extend my drifts ?

Best regards
Miko

Have you tried different lines? Or keeping your Rpms in a certain range that it keeps going? You could e brake it.

Depends on the car, and what tires your using. High HP helps 👍

Im using a supra rz 97' and i think its around 358 hp ?
Its like half into the corner its turning around because i didnt extend.

Best regards

On some long turns your momentum/speed going into it makes the difference of making it and coming up short, or are you talking about corners that start off sharp, and then widen/open up to a lesser curve?

Also agree with the rpm in a certain range. cars with more power/tq. like the Viper can keep the rear going sideways at a lower rpm, leaving you a lot more Usable RPM for more acceleration and power for corrections. :)👍

Im not sure what you mean:

- If the straight between to corners is a bit too long to take in one smooth drift
- If the corner just keeps on going too long (roundabouts)
-If the corner is not sharp and very high speed.

I personally have trouble with the first and second options. They both involve having to have a low angle without wanting to end the drift. I think its all to do with the suspension not pushing keeping compressed and not extending, but i cant seem to be able to hold those low angle, high speed drifts.. I seem to countersteer to much when making a correction or somethin..

The ebrake is the answer to the 1st and 2nd situations...1st-take the corner leading to the straight @ the inside apex faster than u normally would, and yank and hold the ebrake so the rear slides along the outside of the straight(so much easier if their are rumble strips there), until you can clear the 2nd corner(also a good oppurtunity to practice wall taps) and this method works best w/ front biased brakes as you can use slight braking to adjust your angle while the ebrake is held...
2nd scenario presents the safest way to practice reverse entries because in roundabouts(especially the one on Autumn Ring, downhill) its hard to have too much angle because the turn keeps going..I like a nice scandinavian flick to the outside and then to hold the ebrake and let my momentum and gravity carry me down(while steering of course) and to keep the revs up. So that when ebrake is released, you're just going into a nice manageable drift..
Its all about going too fast and using the ebrake(as well as some of the gangsta ish I pull on my dfgt w/ no external handbrake, its amazing how well people can compensate, i'd probably have a chance at being a pro drifter if I found a way to wire the clutch engagement and ebrake in to a lil "O" on the right side of my steering wheel...lol)

That's what I do. Hope this helps for you also!
Set Tranny to around 360 KPH.
If the corner is second gear, use 3rd. 4rd, use 5th, 3rd use 4th, etc.
Because the wheels are spining none stop, you can pretty much never lose the drift.

This really doesnt work for me..

Reverse entries on roundabouts?
Hard to get "too much"angle on turns that keep going?

You do know that when you hit the ebrake the clutch automatically engaged right? The DFGT does not have a clutch pedal so it does it for you..

Sry it doesn't help, I guess I could explain it better in person as words are somewhat ineffective; my point is, if a reverse entry is determined by a >90degree angle in relation to the road itself, if the road continuously curves then the entry angle automatically becomes progressively shallower...and lol, I'm quite familiar w/ the operation of a DFGT..I was referring to a car IRL where I could hypothetically have an "o" button wired to the car as my ebrake...lol...I guess I should have elaborated on that last part..FR me, in the next 5-7 business days ill have my new tv and I can demonstrate what I mean..

More power, more camber, different lines, less angle, more speed and clutch kicking(if applicable) are just a few ways to extend a drift. It's up to you to determine which to use and when.
