Does anyone else find the AI driving extremely rediculous in this game? I mean. Most of the time in season play i cannot catch a car ahead of me, That is the SAME EXACT CAR. And i have mine tuned out way better.
Or ever more dumb is when im in the middle of a corner and im actually leading. They decide to just ram me and go on to win? Wtf is that?

Its weird to describe really. If the Ai happens to pass you just barely, right before a turn then to them they would stick to whatever driving line they are on. Most of the time it would involve you ramming them on accident.

FM4 Ai is a hard thing to describe haha.. I've had plenty of races where they have respected my line if you respect theres, and if you give them that little bit of space to not disrupt each others line then it usually works out fine. On the other hand, I've also had races that just barely launching off the line, not even a few seconds into the race, they would swerve dramatically into my car. For the most part though, its all about proper racing(minus those few inconvenient accidents) and respecting lines. Although most of the time i have no idea what M Rossi was thinking haha..

In 'World Tour' mode, each AI seems to have a different personality or driving style. I've been rammed by G.Esposito the most, A.Takahashi seems a little reckless too. Surprisingly, M.Rossi seems the most respectful to me. I agree with an above post, the AI do seem a little inconsistent, sometimes they can be clean, tidy and respectful... while other times they can be dirty, messy and aggressive. They all seem to be cleaner drivers in the 'Event List' mode.

Key is to get a good start and jump out to an early lead. You should then be able to stretch it out after a few turns so that the AI cars aren't in range of hitting you. Get stuck back in the pack and you will most likely get recked. Adding some downforce can also help, as the car will be more stable when getting bumped.

I find that the AI is worst when they're in a pack. If I don't get out in front quickly, I generally need to sit back and wait till the field in front of me stretches out a bit, so I can take them one by one. If they're too close together, I find that you cannot safely take one without risking being rammed by another. But if there's a good deal of space within the field ahead of you, I don't actually think it's all too bad. As for not being able to catch the car in front of me, that all depends on the car, the tune, and the track (you are referring to the Professional AI here?).
