Extreme drafting

Ok, i tried oval racing, and i love it. Especially if i race cars with almost same abilities(arcade or against frend). Now, i found drafting to be very extreme. For instance, i used an FTO and caught a draft behind a Plymouth roadster thing, and the FTO just blasted by at 169mph! i know for sure that on time trial it tops at around 140 or so. Tried with a Mustang GT and caught a draft behind an S2K, and went 170mph, which I KNO is impossible to do on its own. Usualy just around 130-140 tops. The most insane was, a Camaro Z28 aniversary edition, i caught a draft behind a vette and mustang, and i scored 190mph. Yep, 190 MPH! it is insane. But after i pass em, they get a draft behind me and i slow down, so they draft pass me. Then i get a draft, and it goes on. Just didnt believe it. Now its my fav type of racing, cuz im bored and lame lol. But check it, the computer uses drafting too. Did a 10 lap race observing the 2 leaders(mustang and vette), and repeatedly saw the stang draft the vette, and the vette draft the stang, and i even drafted em both but got schooled again. so the AI does use drafting. The best was wen the vette was followed by a skyline and stang and me, crazy drafting time. go try it!

I really noticed it when racing a fully-tuned Viper in the GT1 Grand Valley Endurance race. Not only can you get insane speed down the straight, but if you draft a car while going down that part of the track just before the hill/hairpin, you'll lose all your downforce and go flying into the wall! This happened to me a couple times, and I've also noticed the AI cars (especially the NSX) will totally mess their game up if they happen to be following too close when you're at this portion of the track.

I did noticed it in Test Course with a Race Viper, right behind a GTO Twinturbo I reached 385kph, that must be almost 240mph in a really short time, when the top was about 350 (220) Since then I've tried to draft but never like that.

Drafting is your friend in the GT300 👍

Thanx Mike Rotch (your name cracks me up, btw) I'll keeep your words in mind when I get to this series.

I once got something to do about 290+ kays when it would normally only do about 250... then I nearly bashed unto the wall... :grumpy: test course...
