This weekend was the annual EyesOn Design show in the Detroit area, it was sponsored by the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology and was intended to raise funds for their research. The DIO is working on artificial vision to help the blind eventually see some day, reading up on it seemed pretty interesting too.

The show was over the past four days but the public was really only able to attend two of the days. Saturday was an open invitation to the the Ligenfelter collection, otherwise known as the Sultan of Michigan's collection. I have been there a few times before but the collection is just so amazing it's worth getting there whenever I can and plus it was for a good cause. Today was the car show at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores.

I know I've posted photos of the Ligenfelter collection before, but really, who's going to argue with more pictures?

wow, what a show!!! but first, I'll go into the Lingenfelter stuff.

- Would you happen to have any more info on the intake/nitrous system setup on the drag Camaro? A pic, even? That ma nifold looks impressive. If not, can you take one the next time you're over there, if you ever see the car again?

- Is the Slantnose a factory car?

- The Solstice GXP reminded me of the Solstice Hot Rod mag put together some years ago with an LS7 out of a Z06, full carbon body and Ohlins suspension. Amazing things happen when you stuff a V8 in a small car.

- That black Shelby GT500 is astronomically rare: It has a side-oiler 427 motor instead of the "usual" 428 Cobra Jet. Incredible car.

-The Pontiac 2+2, Le Mans and Hurst/Olds are awesome!

-The Hurst/Trans Am is signed by Linda Vaughn!!!! HOLLY %¡&("!!!! Also, the red Camaro behind the Trans Am, was it a Baldwin car?

Now, for the on-the-grass show:

-Awesome and rare that your dad had a Bultaco, thumb up to him please.

-The black Desoto with gold trim is a 1957 Adventurer, the topppest of the line Desoto with the 392 ci HEMI pushing more than 350 hp on those puny rear tires. Less than 100 were made.

-The Imperial limo is also obscenely rare, if I remmeber correctly, less than 30 were made in 1958.

-Vespas with 4 wheels!! The blue one is incredibly clean. I had never seen the engine of those.

-Conquest with an LSx = awesome. AWESOME.

-WTF with the chooped up Z?

-The yellow Baldwin Motion Vette with the starnge nose ight have been the rarest car in attendance, less than 50 were made if I remember correctly. And they were absolute beasts. 13.5:1 compression.

-Sizzler demon and HEMI Super Bee are really rare, specially the Bee. There were very few HEMI cars produced after 1970.

-$/%#& with that Cyclone Spoiler!!! AMAZING CAR!

-First time I've ever seen a Henry J restored rather than turned into a gasser. It's Henry J, dude. It was also marketed new trough Sears stores as the Sears Allstate.

-green 1936 Ford phaeton hiboy: what a weird treatment to this body style. I like it. To know what I'm talking about, take a look at how a stock one looks.

-The Packard Hawk is also incredibly rare, one last breath before the company folded in 1958 or 1959.

-The 1934 Ford Kodak delivery, displayed with vintage camera, is absolutely outstanding. Got damn.

nice nice pictures bud. How I envy all of you that live in places with such stuff.

I wish I could of went to Eyeson Design too, but oh well. And did you notice his 458 had only two exhausts? Looks way better.

Cano, here's a close up of the Camaro's engine.

And I think this is the red Camaro you were asking about. I'm not sure what it was, I know it wasn't Baldwin, it was some name I've never heard of.

I went around and got a picture of every car, it looks like you did too Joey, but I lost my shots from last year so I had to get them all this time.

I don't feel funny now, I feel all too serious. What a car. Any of you got pics of what the cartel in front of it said?

Got damn look at those tires, the Ansens, the hood, the wing... everything is so hardcore 70s I want to cry. Incredible machine. Thanks a ton, bud.

Photobucket should be all fixed now!

Nice pictures Eric!

And thanks for the info/comments Cano, unfortunately I don't have a picture of the front of the Camaro. I'll look through my older stuff though and I might have one.
