Got my DFGT and F1 2011 today and i've noticed something strange. On GT5 when I press the accelerator pedal down with an average amount of force the car accelerates fully. But in F1 2011 that amount of pressure on the pedal only allows me to do about 150-60mph.

To hit top speed I have to bury my foot into the ground and almost stand up. This is incredibly uncomfortable and annoying trying to do that 10 times a lap AND concentrate on the track. I've tried turning up throttle sensitivity but nothing, is this normal? What can I do to sort it out?

Try calibrating the pedals by pressing them down while the game is in it's loading phase. 👍

I'll try that mate. I did something similar but I pressed the pedal right down, I might just press it softly and see if that works.

Like your thinking, if all else fails, Google it!

Are you using the preset for the DFGT? I've never changed it and it's working fine. Yet, I'm not touching the pedals until after the car has left the garage. :)

I'll get on it ASAP and have a look, will try both of your methods. I was using the preset but when I had issues I customized it which made no difference. Out of interest Tom and MrS, how hard do you tend to press the accelerator to get full throttle? I don't think it should be this painful :P

F1 2011 and GT5 are two entirely different games

You have to be extremely gentle with the throttle pedal in F1 2011, its just the way the physics are. If you're having to stand up when accelerating..try adjusting your seating position because it shouldn't happen

It was a slight exageration, I have to pile all of my weight onto the pedal though. The position i'm currently in feels great and I honestly don't think having to put that much effort into acceleration is normal. And yeah I understand about the difference in the games but I just added that to show it isn't a problem with the wheel, it worked great with GT5 👍

I'd say 3/4 in but it doesn't require excessive force. :)

Right, there's clearly something wrong then. It takes 100% of my strength to fully get the power down.

I only press the throttle as hard as I would on GT5. 👍

Problem solved, the calibration method worked 👍

Loving it, started my career with Williams, long weekends with 100% distance on expert. Only managed to qualify 18th at Australia but i'm getting the hang of both the game and the wheel.

I got 15th qualifying in Australia... but then i got a penalty in practice taking me back to last place on the starting line :( LOL

Happened to me too

I'm improving though, finished 13th at Australia and have qualified 16th at Malaysia. Hoping to hit my 12th place objective at Sepang tomorrow.
