F1 2011, which version should I purchase?F1 2010-2016

I'm looking to buy F1 2011. I'll be using a Logitech G27 and I don't own an Xbox 360, so let's rule that one out.

So which one do I go for, PS3 or PC?

If I go for the PC version, should I get the regular retail version or the Steam version? Can a Steam version user race online against a Windows Live version user?

I'm kind of stuck for choice. I'm more inclined towards PC, but then there is a further dilemma. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

PC. Trust me on that. Your 6850 will cope just fine.

Doesn't matter really. Either way you go you're still going to end up with a version that supports GFWL.

Take T-12's advice and get the PC version. The difference graphically is chalk and cheese. I purchased the PS3 version and about a week later my old PC died and my brother in law built me a new one.
My new PC should run it ok so I'm still considering selling the PS3 version and replacing it with the PC version.

PC is better in every way, the steam version is the windows live version, it just starts up from the steam application.
 
PC. Way better looking than the console versions, plus you have mods.

My "VIP" code would not work - rendering the game useless to play online.
"Customer service" sent back automatic answers - clearly unwilling to help & not giving a rats about their customers
WASTE OF MONEY - DON'T BUY CODEMASTERS GAMES!!!

Ignore that troll and buy it for PC.
 
I got my PS3 copy for 39.99 because some moron at Gamestop put the wrong price on it. I wouldn't have payed 59.99 for it.
