Hey guys. Just got the GT '04 F1, but is it possible to change tire type, add turbo, ECT. Basicaly, where the hell can I tune this thing up at?!?

Well that's not a good bit of info! That's just one more thing to add to the list of crap that was better in GT3! Wonder why they did this? Anyone have a answer for that?

IIRC, you couldn't do anything to the F1 cars in GT3 either, other than oil changes. Tires were stuck on Racing Medium, that much I know.

The Polyphony Formula is fast enough as is. And changing the suspension settings can still be done, and is really all that needs to be done. 👍

i had one, i sold it. The game just loses all appeal to me once race tires enter the equation. But then again, toying with street cars is what i've been raised on, I really could give a crap who's winning in ALS or JGTC, i like street based vehicles, including D1gp and Formula D cars, and the lower tier race cars like the camaro LM car, the calsonic skyline(this is the only car with a soul and R tires i've found so far).

Plus, what's having the fastest car in the game gonna do for your driving? granted ,the formula series is NOT a walk in the park, but, as in every other game i play, i play for intense battles, not just to win. that's why i'd rather spend an hour grinding out a tune on the touge in a street car then lappin race cars. The side effect of this is that in the last year i have only added about 5 percent completion though. but then, i have also dropped my average lap about 7 seconds across the board, and i do still enter my drifts on trial mountain at nearly 150 mph on s3's. l8r g8r's

Having the fastest car in the game does nothing for your driving; definitely true.

However, the faster cars (aka Group C/LMP) give you experience in a different way... As a slip-up means much more time in those cars and proper driving and good driving lines make a bigger difference. Not to mention the reaction training forced by the higher speeds and quicker reactions of the cars.

Just my .02.

feel you on that, it's still just not fun to me, dunno but without a bit of slip and with the car not acting like anything i ever actually driven, i lose interest.

but then i don't even like street cars with r-tires, it's what kept me away from the tuner garages originally, i was like, "well of course it kicks a@@ on R3's!". in addition i play 2 player ALOT, so when your finely crafter r tire destroyer gets bumped down to s3's, how fast is it now?

Speaking of S3s... I still gotta do a little work on a high power AWD monster...

And I've been doing more and more S-grade tunes, as I've begun to note that R-grades somewhat mask problems in the tune.

the calsonic skyline(this is the only car with a soul and R tires i've found so far).

I have a soft spot for the Calsonic Skyline myself... the '93 one though. We got a bit of history from GT2 :sly:

I kept the FGT for B-Spec to use, I'm not interested in it myself, but B-Spec loves it. Plus he recently won the Le Sarthe 24h I for me in it. Pit every 4 laps, but he still won by a good 4 laps on the 2nd place R92CP. :P

I know the FGT doesnt suffer from oil going bad, but does the chassis? I cant help but feel ever since I passed the 300 mile mark in it (its like 5100miles now), it feels soft, and doesnt have that "edge" it once had.
