F430 gearbox a bit slow?

Shifts seem to happen a bit slower than the supposed 150 milliseconds the box is capable of: http://www.popsci.com/cars/article/2005-11/ferrari-f430

I decided to "attempt" to measure this in gt5p by using a stopwatch during replay mode. To keep shift points consistent, changes were made at 8,000 rpm. I then measured the time between change and reengagement getting times that more or less averaged .25-.33 seconds.

While my method of measure is far from being accurate, it seems to point to shifts being quite a bit slower than 150 millis....perhaps a bug or oversight as of now. Does seem suprising to me as they seem to have gotten the super quick changes of the R35 closer to how quick they really are.

The F430 comes with either a traditional 6 speed manual transmission as standard, or an optional 6 speed F1 transmission. In GT5P we have the former for both the F430 and 599.

And that has to do with how fast PD has modeled the shifting changes of its F1 Gearbox transmission? On that note, what exactly does it matter? Surely there are more addressing issues in this game.

Excatly my thoughts  Ive only noticed it being slow when change from 1st to 2nd. But to be honest it doesnt really bother me. Id rather they sort out the rest of the game than have sleepless nights over how quick one car changes gear...

My point is this: the in game version does have the f1 box, you can see the paddles. OF COURSE I'm not trying to measure milliseconds or something, THAT is ridiculous... what I'm saying is that shifts ARE slow enough that you can measure them with a stopwatch and whether my times are even marginally off, show that they are way slow!

You can even measure the REAL LIFE f430 and get the same results. YOUTUBE f430 and see real life videos of people driving changing gears.. you will get same results.

Useless posts deleted. Lets at least try to stay on topic, please.

There aren't any paddle shifters in the f430 or 599 in gt5p.There just isn't anything.

Yes there is, infact if you scroll up to the Youtube videos posted by NoxNoctis Umbra you can see the paddle on the lower videos preview picture. You just dont see the shifting animation yet, except for the F2007.

in addition, Ferrari's F1 tranny has received multiple updates that have improved the shift time. if I recall right, the difference between original F430 F1 and F430 Scuderia is big enough to make a difference.
