Since i have joined WRS, i also have given a few online races a try. Now i was wandering if anyone else experiences the following. So far i have not joined one series where they REALLY apply the fair GTP rules, as 'we' do in our events or weekly races. Very often i enter races where people try to be in the best positions, regardless the fact they have to 'bully' others to get in those possitions.

Myself i do not care if i am first, eight or ninth or deadlast. I like the competition, do not get me wrong, but i want to keep it as real as possible. Example : i know 'corkscrew' or 'radillion' are difficult corners, so i will try to take them as clean as possible. But when i watch other (non GTP) racers, they cut consistantly, and even try to overtake in these corners !!!! We all know this is impossible in RL aswell, you would end up dead !!!

Does anybody have any knowledge of races who are organised with WRS standards or can someone advise me on some 'good' raceleagues to take part in ?

Frank

I'm pretty sure there will be a few groups scattered around this forum and many others who meet up for nightly/weekly races and hopefully someone will send you an invite after seeing your post? I don't know of any personally other than the link I posted sorry to say.

Good luck with it anyway and if all else fails maybe you could rename this thread to an interest thread and see if you can create the group yourself 👍
Cheers
Ron.

edit: there you go 👍

Yes, i have tried a few, but they do not all use the rules as they should.
example : i was signed in for the F1 championship runned by 'Immortal'. I practised a lot , up to more then 500 laps on Laguna seca and 400 laps on Suzuka of trainning, on that last one i was able to set some decent laptimes, but the way they handle theire quali's made it impossible for me to set a decent time.... so i started in the back and carefull, but no matter how carefull you are, people who spun off, think they can claim their start position and do not race realistic, it does not matter in wich position i finisch, but i want to have a kind of 'satisfacted'-feeling afther a race, and not having the feeling of being in bumper-cars.

I personally think you should race slower cars they much more fun to race online, when using F1 cars your going so fast that any sort of lag can cause a major crash. I love racing the miata's in FMSC all though it can be a bumpy ride sometimes :P, but theres a saftey car that gets called for major crashes which is cool and Turbo runs it so it's super organised. But there's plenty of good racing series just depends what cars you wanna drive I guess anyway goodluck on your quest :D.

If you find a nice racing series post it here , i am very intrested in this :D
Only found a lot of US time based series wich looked a lot of fun but timedifference was to big , or series of wich i don't like the cars GT300 / GT500 ...

A nice low pp streetcar series or something with close battling would be nice , the lower the pp useally means the closer the battle

There is TOCA which is one of the best series IMO, lots of close battling, at times there is a bit of contact, but it's usually clean stuff, brilliant series. Although for this season we're banning ABS so you would want to get a feel for that first.;)

I think your last point would be a problem....
