I'm trying to tune this car by using other tunes of similar cars (mainly Z32 300ZX and 280ZX '78).

Tried RKM's Z32 tune (the 544bhp one) as the Z31 has an output of 578bhp. Under braking the car locked up and there is oversteer at corner entry and understeer at the exit...

Can anyone provide some advice or perhaps a tune for this car?:)

I'm not sure which RKM tune you used, but I bet with an adjustment to the LSD, toe and brake balance, you could correct the issues above.

bump

@adrenaline, I know an adjustment to those would work... just saying adjusting the LSD, toe and brake balance isn't really helpful, but thanks anyway lol.

This car is a beast, I need to use it for 550pp races online.

I can't adjust what I can't see. Therefor the comment of "I don't know which RKM tune you're using..." was actually a hint that maybe you should give us your current setup so that we can see where you're currently at. If it's the RKM tune I originally clicked on, I'd venture to say the LSD is way out of whack. But I'm not going to waste my time taking shots in the dark. So help me help you, wait for someone else to blindly try and fix your alleged 'tune' issues.

We only have 1 Z32 tune at 544bhp and it hasn't been updated for months. So on top of the issues with putting a Z32 tune on a Z31, you've also got settings made for an older physics set.

To fix the brake lock up, you can try lower brake balance settings or a higher ABS setting. For the oversteer you can stiffen (higher number) the rear springs, use lower values on the LSD across the board and stiffen the front end too so it won't understeer as much. Also you can just raise the rear end if none of the above helps.

From what I recall of the Z31... It'll kill you sooner than it'll handle "well". It's an axe murderer.

My Z32 tune was "wrong" in a lot of ways. Felt right, but was wrong. Z32 has almost the exact opposite issues of the Z31. Try flipping the spring rates and putting identical dampers front/rear (use the front settings). Oh, and try 1.8/1.6 camber, -0.20/0.15 toe.

Ahh ok, thanks for the help... it's a shame because this car would be a giant killer because it has low PP for the power/weight.

I'll give that advice a try. cheers =D

You'd think that... But it also has approximately zero grip to go with it, same for most vehicles that do that.

;)

Its not that bad. I wouldnt call it a giant killer but it can be competitive/surprise some. i've been getting a decent tune on nurb for it last couple nights
