A little extension to the Sunday Quiz, but just for you football-o-philes. No real deadline on this one, and some of the questions are truly evil. I mean real, A-grade evil. Some of them are so bad that even looking the answer up won't help you in any way.
Same as usual - 2 points per right one, bonuses allowed, 1 point for nearly answers, try not to Google it, ba-da-bing:
1. In the professional leagues in England this season there were five football clubs which have in their name the same letter four times (like "Famine's Fun Football Fquiz" contains the letter F four times). Name them.
2. In the professional leagues in England AND Scotland there are eight football clubs whose names (excluding the "Football Club" part) begin and end with the same letter - four in England, four in Scotland. Name those too.
3. Sunderland did it in 1979. Villa managed it in 1981. Who did it in 1980?
4. In the professional leagues in England this season there were 21 different club "surnames" - such as "United" (Manchester, Boston, Scunthorpe, West Ham - and so on). Relegated Rushden "and Diamonds" were one - name the other 19 (not including the 25 clubs who have no such "surname" - Chelsea, Fulham, Darlington etc.).
5. Until Halifax Town got relegated, there were four clubs in the English professional leagues with an "X" in their name. Name the three that participated this season
6. Only one professional team in the United Kingdom has a "J" anywhere in their name. Who?
7. Blundell Park, Sincil Bank and York Street are all professional football grounds in which English county?
8. 6 English cities, other than London, have more than one professional football club. Which cities, and what clubs?
Just the eight to start you off with...
