Fanatec CSL Elite questions!

I'm pretty set on getting the Fanatec CSL Elite with the v3 pedals, but I want to make sure I know exactly what I'm getting into before I order.

Does this wheel base require the Cronusmax DriveHub to run GT Sport?

I have the Thrustmaster TH8A shifter, will it work with this wheel base?

1. No - GT Sport supports the wheel
2. No - at least not as plug-n-play. Probably there is a adapter/connector that might do the work but haven't done a research on it.

@dmcdonald did they shift these to you yet? how are the v3 the brakes calibrate well to GT Sport?

Sadly, as much as I wanted to go with Fanatec, I wasn't planning on playing another racing sim. So, I ended up pulling the trigger on a T-GT and T3PA-Pro pedals with a load cell. Don't get me wrong this setup is brilliant, but I would have preferred Fanatec with proper support.

Understandable. Before last nights patch you had to run the CSL elite in “purple” mode. Basicall a compatibility mode so your wheel gets recognised as a Logitech G29 by the game.

You could drive with CSL elite perfectly fine in purple mode but there was some very annoyingly oscillation that you couldn’t fully tune out with settings.

With the new patch you can start in “blue” mode which means full support, no compatibility workarounds. I haven’t tried it myself just yet but I can imagine it will feel a bit smoother.

Not awkward. I'd love to hear how GTS support works for Fanatec.
