Fanatec CSL elite with T3PA pedals

I use CSL Elite and T150 two pedal set with this adapter on my PC.
I was thinking about switching to Fanatec by the end of this year. In your opinion what are the main differences in FFB compared to TM? I am not talking about buildquality or the notchiness that comes with TM. But the fidelity of details etc. I spoke to a few simracers who still favor TM FFB. They say that FFB can feel rubbery on a CSL, which the CSW v2.5 dont. So in stead of buying a CSL elite I might get CSW v2.5 with a drivehub. Any insights?

I also like the Thrustmaster FFB.The T150 gives very good information (at least with the friction free mod) of the initial moment when the rear starts to slide.
With the CSL Elite Xbox stock version this initial moment when the rear starts to slide was difficult to feel or it was coming with slight delay. Also I could feel that the belt was loose when there was a change of direction of rotation. This led me to disassemble the steering wheel in first week and violate the warranty. Holding the shaft of the electric motor to not move,I could catch the axis of the steering wheel and move it with bare hands slightly to the right and left(unattached steering wheel). For me this loose belt is a big problem.
After the belt mod this initial moment when the rear starts to slide is very clear and without any delay, and with the speed of this wheel is very easy to catch slides. With enough tension on the belt the CSL Elite has a very good FFB.

This is probably because the construction of the CSW v2.5 allows high tension of the belts. But I would not buy
dual belt drive wheel.Which reminds me that the latest and most expensive wheel from Thrustmaster is also dual belt drive.:ouch: I think it's time for Thrustmaster to switch to single belt drive or direct drive wheels.
If you want significant upgrade from the T-GT start looking at the direct drive wheels.:)

Nice... But one question.. to Play GTS with such combination, I believe that the Drive Hub adicional adapter is also needed... yes???

CSL Elite is not recognized by GTS so... surely the adapter is essential?? Not??

Thanks for the detailed info. I guess the reported rubbery feel is caused by slightly loose belts. Maybe this is also caused by the single belt design? Perhaps the Torque causes the belt to slighly flex??

My reason for switching isnt neccesarily to "upgrade" but for the better Ecosystem. Fanatec wheelbases have seperate connectors for 2 shifters and a handbrake. Also Fanatec has nicer periphials in its ecosystem. And if i want to upgrade to PC and DD all the add-ons/rims will be compatible.

Yes,but to be absolutely sure ask that this will work ask @Podger.

CSL Elite works in GT Sport in purple mode.

No.

No,the belt is impressively strong, high quality.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry to OP for hijacking this thread! I guess I'll wait till black friday and hopefully get a deal on the CSL and compare them myself directly.

I wish my current CSR wheel would die, so I have a legitimate reason to upgrade to a CSW. Any body know any torture tests that can kill a PWTS/CSR?

Nope they are tough as nails.
I just saw an eBay auction end at $275 last night for one.
Sell it and your halfway to a CSW.
