My standard pedals broke so I had to upgrade to the CSR pedals as Fanatec no longer make the standard set, so here is a quick review for anyone thinking of buying them.
Right away you can feel the step up in quality from the standard set, the CSR pedals use a higher quality plastic and now have some metal on show which adds a lot to the pedals looks. Each pedal now has a spring which are adjustable compared to the standard set in which only the break pedal had a spring. The pedals now have a lot more travel in them which I like, but can be adjusted to have less for those that prefer it that way. The pedal base is covered in aluminium as are the pedal fronts which give the pedals a more upmarket look and feel.
I tested these pedals on Forza 4, WRC 2 AND GT5, they worked great on all of them. The tension is good from all pedals and if its not your liking its adjustable. I feel there is a lot more progression in the pedals now, which I feel helps me drive smoother. The potentiometers are of a higher standard this time round, those of you who have or have had the standard pedals no that if you tested them on the telemetry screen on Forza the throttle indicator would jump up and down, even if you was being smooth. This is now gone, it now travels up very smoothly.
The CSR pedals cost 80 Euro's and are compatible with all 911 and CSR wheels, They are a big step up from the standard pedals. So if your thinking of upgrading and you don't want to spend stupid money, then I highly recommend them.
