Fanatec CSW V2 base problems

I have just bought the Clubsport V2 base, V3 pedals, V1.5 shifter, and handbrake this week. I have had quite a bit of problems. First, my things came missing some mounting hardware but that is not my main problem right now. My wheel is acting weird and when I am trying to configure it it doesn't work. When I turn the wheel a little the bar will speedily go to either 100% or 50% depending on which way I turn it. Say I turn it left and it goes to 50% very fast. After I get to 50% it jumps back to 100% then continues traveling back to 50% until it repeats. Even when trying to configure the wheel, the wheel feel like it is trying to stay centered. I recorded it happening here and I will send it in a chosen file. When I tried to launch Asseto Corsa, the wheel image thing was doing the same thing as when I was trying to configure it and jumping around.

My pedals do not seem to have any input at all. When I plug the wheel in to Forza Horizon 2 on the Xbox one, I can move the wheel, use the buttons, and change gears with my shifter, but the pedals do nothing.

My Fanatec properties do not work properly either. When I was on Windows 8, the wheel was recognized but I could not select it and hit OK. When I did the window just dissapeared and did nothing. I tried upgrading to Windows 10, and now the wheel isn't recognized at all in the menu.

I feel like something I pay this much for something like this it will work out of the box and I would not have this trouble with. I sent in a support message around 24 hours ago but haven't gotten a response. I tried calling their cellphone number but every time I try the prerecorded verizon message says the number is not real.

Video of my Fanatec Drivers:

When I open up the properties thing it does not recognize my wheel at all even though it is plugged in and on.

Yeah something isn't right there, what version are you running? Fanatec released an update to fix issues with Win 10, thats a link to the beta description for the background info.

Go to the downloads section on this page for the newest update (v231 I believe), hopefully that does the trick.

your Not even getting the proper Fanatec Properties page, your using the native windows app which is confusing. Have you ever seen this page

What exactly did you do when you got the wheel/pedals ect ect ? Plug in and try and use it ? Did you Download any driver's or anything from the Fanatec website ?

This is the exact same on my machine, You dont really need to select "ok" for anything, you either hit the properties or Advance tab and that will bring up the proper Fanatec UI.

No, I have never seen that page on my system. Thats what I thought was weird too.

When I got it I assembled it and downloaded the drivers but I accidentally had the cable that goes to the pedals in the ebrake spot. I did not notice and tried to plug it into my Xbox to see if it would work. Then I realized my error and fixed it. I then reinstalled the drivers. I have tried reinstalling multiple times and restarting my computer but nothing has worked. Thank you for your help.

Imo you cant fault fanatec on something like this, Your more than likely experiencing some weird 1 in a million software/hardware/driver glitch. Ive heard of some weird stuff on Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels as well, So its Not only Fanatec. But regardless I feel your frustration. You spend a Chunk o change on your shiny new stuff and currently cant use it.

Have you tried some of the basic windows stuff for getting it recognized again ?

I'm not mad at Fanatic really, just a little confused.
And I also hear the notification sound when I plug it in or turn it on.

When I plug my Hub in, it recognizes it as an 'Xbox Peripheral' in the Devices menu. Is that normal? I do have the P1 steering wheel w/ Xbox buttons. I installed the drivers for the first time with the steering wheel connected if that matters.

I have zero experience with the New P1 wheel, so Im sorta assuming that might be normal for it to pop up as a "xbox peripheral" but maybe your in Xbox mode or something funny. What color is the power light when powered on ?

Glad you got it sorted out. These ID 10T faults are always hard to diagnose. The solution is always invariably a subset of the RTFM solution.

Only joking!
