Fanatec (garbage) shifter problems

First off this is my second replacement unit in under a month. The first issue I had is with the clubsport v3 pedals cutting out. So they had me return them and sent a replacement unit now my shifter does one of two things it will either not shift at all or it will shift erratically on its own and the display on the wheel will flicker back and forth between n and 5. Can someone please help? I have not raced in over a month because of these well engineered , well made products.
