Thanks to everyone who joined M3forum.net to get in on the group buy. I really hope we can save some coin and get the product on or before Nov. 2nd. BTW, I'm Hyperion-X on that forum.

First of all, great initiative ^^

I've already posted on the M3 forum to announce my interest in the groupbuy. It would be sweet if we could get 25-35% off just like the person who made the topic said.

Just hope they don't ask to buy the stand too ><

Hi Ari Gold (Hyperion-X) thanks for alerting us to this group buy.

I've stopped by to register my interest - will be awesome if it comes off!

Can we set up a group buy on here?

I'm sure someone could but someone would have to take the initiative to do it. Plus there are quite a few people that have signed in to the M3forum to be part of that group buy, which is the way that I'm going to go.

I've just signed up over at the forums to put my name down.
Hopefully if we can around 15~20 people there should be a hefty discount!

I just put my name down for the GT3rs V2 w/clubsport pedals.

Thanks for the heads up.

Dropped my name on the list as well. Hopefully this happens soon. I just sold my G27 and would like to get a replacement relatively soon.

Not great news at all:

Good news & Bad news

Good news

Thomas got back to me today and confirmed the Group-Buy is set and ready to go.

Bad news

Thomas also made some requirements:

- Must be a member of M3Forum since at least August. So that's all you GTPlanet guys out
- Only for US & Canada residents. That definitely eliminates a few more of you
- For the GT3 RS V2 Clubsport wheel only. Which eliminates myself
- Pricing for the GT3 RS V2 Clubsport is $319.00, same as it's currently listed without Group-Buy, and it just looks like he'll add in a shifter set of matching color (the shifter set will be orange I guess?). Meaning you can pay the same price without this Group-Buy and just not get a shifter set
*************************

I wonder whether it's worth bothering with a GTPlanet Group Buy.. maybe even two, one for CONUS & one for EU?

ya what a let down I almost don't want their wheel now. :-/ its rather lame. they just lost a ton of business i wasn't even looking for that large of a discount, but to be excluded is just lame.

Shifter set matching color??? Huh?? I don't know of any shifter colors options...

Yeah, I was just hoping for maybe free shipping. Its not much but enough to give pause for the expense at the moment. Im still going to get the wheel but Im going to wait a bit until my rig is almost finished.

Do you think if "GTPlant" gets a group buy, this could change? Im mean more likely because our whole community is based on sim racing, M3 isnt?

Don't talk about the color guys, just the fact that GTPlanet users are left behind ( 1st requirement )

I mean I'm not really active here such as posting thoughs or whatever, but I do check it everyday for more news on certain things. And this group buy really had me hyped... Fanatec just showed us that they rather just sit and wait for kidz to pay full price while at M3 there were maybe half of the people from GTPlanet ready to just jump into it, even if (only) shipping were free.

This not only gives Fanatec less sales, its also free, negative publicity.

Well done Fanatec

Crazy isn't it..?
Still, "Fanatec" is a registered poster on here isn't he?
Surely as a representative of the company in any capacity, he could have posted at any point in this thread but hasn't.. hopefully reading this and the thread over at the M3 forum will show that what could have potentially been a real PR win has turned in a real negative.

All these potential customers lost, mostly to Logitech. I might drop their marketing guy a line, see if he'd like to 'come to the aid' of one of the largest Sim Racing communities around and hoover up some sales and gain some good free PR.

How about we inquire about a GTP group buy. Before we start all this bad talk about Fanatec. I am also not sure what you guys expected from a group buy to save $100+ I doubt it so chill out. The shifter set is a good $50.

Locking this as it's now useless to us.

This probably shouldn't have been brought here in the first place and seems to me that it was just the M3 forums guy trying to make his forum's group buy more possible/plausible. It was not Fanatec's decision to bring it here, therefore any hopes that were built up, and subsequently dashed, is not Fanatec's fault.

I also don't get how this is Fanatec being negative to us. We do, after all, have a Fanatec wheel being given away in a current contest.

Fanatec's CEO(?) is a member here and will be aware of this thread, and is no doubt reading it, and any subsequent group purchase offer for GTP is up to him.
