well.....If clutch and shifter are important, I would go with the Carrera.

But if you want full compatability, and easy to find(somewhat), and cannot wait, get the dfgt.

I would personally go with the carrera. Updates, adjustability, and to able to upgrade(clubsport).

I own it and love it. A very underrated feature is the ability to fine tune the handling of the wheel independant of the game. Having a stick shifter is also awesome especially using it as a brake, loved driving my golf round the ring in that seasonal event and never once using the brake, felt so real.

Things to consider with it though is the table clamp it comes with is horrendous. Trust me it wont keep the wheel still and it will keep coming off in your hands. So unless you plan on hard mounting forget it. I would also recommend getting the paddle shifter attachments, I keep missing the buttons when im turning at the same time.

Avoid at all costs IMO. I've had a go on the wheel and it was so good I ordered one as a Christmas present to myself.

Opened it up and it had the infamous 888 error. EVENTUALLY (after a considerable amount of time and emails) got Fanatec to send a replacement and that didnt work either. Almost 2 months later and I'm still waiting for a working wheel... although the tracking report says that wheel no. 3 should be delivered today.

For the above reasons alone I would go with a wheel from a company who; a) gives a damn about their customers; and b) who has a better factory quality assurance procedure to avoid the risk of sending out dodgy wheels in the first place.

If I could do it all over again I'd go logitec in a heartbeat.
