Hi guys.
I've became a user of Porsche 911 Wheel Turbo S (pure edition) with Clubsport V1 pedals. Have been very lucky with that purchase cause guy who was selling this set bought 3 of them while ago (09/2009-this date says on box shipped from FANATEC), and have never even open those. I've bought two sets of him and he kept one. I'm so glad on this cause I know it's limited edition multiplatform wheels and have been not used for period of four years..Anyways.. Have few questions about those cause there was no Manuals included to those, only templates for drilling holes.
(found an info that first batch of these was shipped without manuals for some reason)
Few questions regarding PWTS:
1. If the wheel is from first batch of prod. (SN 00496, received 09/2009), and it's never been even opened from its original box can I connect it straight away to Xbox360 or PS3 and enjoy driving? Or maybe should I first plug it into PC and do the firmware upgrade?
I've did some digging, and latest software for PWTS on FANATEC website seems to be:
-driver 144
-firmware 756
Am I right on that?
2. The only one thing I have noticed when I was getting familiar with the wheel for the first time is a bit small paddle shifters, I know I can get an upgrade but the only ones showing on FANATEC web shop are Carbone fiber ones, is the aluminum ones out of prod. or only out of stock? If out of prod. will need to order a carbon fiber ones..
Few questions regarding CSP..
3. Any firmware upgrades on CSP?
4. If I’m not using the clutch pedal, can I just swap over the clutch spring with the one from acceleration pedal for stiffer feeling? Can't get the CSP upgrade kit anymore.. (the one with different springs and brake pedal mod) - is it out of prod?
5. Should I've been worried about plastic bushings that were replaced later for brass ones? Can I get them anywhere if so?
I know the products I’m asking for, are out of production but maybe You will be able to have all this clear for me..
