Fanatec wheel: ¿CSR or GT3?

I'm about to order one of these wheels. Currently I have a G27, but everyone is telling me that Fanatecs are way better.

So I have that 2 options. I know the CSR rim is not as good as the GT3, but for me the most important thing are the internals and the feeling I can get in GT5.

So, is the CSR better? do both wheels share the same ffb motors?

I like the GT3 look but I don't mind driving a plastic rim with no Alcantara (CSR) if the driving experience is better.

Cheers

They're both the same. Only difference is that CSR has XBox compatibility and uglier rim. Internally they are identical.

I believe Fanatec still offers a really good value "GT3RS wheel + CSR-E pedals" package. You should check that out.

The internals are EXACTLY the same, minus the code-wheel sensor was moved to prevent a possible error. And, the quality of rim sets the GT3 well above both worth and feel of the CSR.

And, the CSL seat with the GT3 & CSR pedals is still available for $399. I have been considering this package just for the seat, and then to sell the wheel and pedals for quite some time.... However, I do not have a justified reason nor commission check in the next couple monts to spend the cash right now......

well they are not quite exactly the same for the reason of the xbox compatibility.
the GT3 base is for the PS-3 and PC only therefor is missing the required electronics for the xbox.
in other words it is the circuit boards that are different.

Well. I don´t need Xbox compatibility so I wonder if besides that, the internals are the same or if the CSR it's better because it's newer than the GT3. I just only want a nice feeling while playing/driving GT5

The FFB is the same but the GT3RS has much nicer rim. If you don't need xbox compatibility, there's no reason to buy a CSR.

Ripster, do you feel same ffb strenght in both wheels?

Thanks

Actually I was surprised that everyone thinks the internals are generally the same. I have two Playseats setup with the CSR on one and the GT3 on the other. I raced with the CSR for the first time since I got the GT3 and my friend used the GT3 for the first time.

I think the GT3 has stronger FFB, my friend commented on the GT3 stating he liked it more as well. A lot more, which mirrors my experience. Ideally I would like to get the GT2 just for the cross platform compatibility but having what I already own it is beyond what I want to spend.
