Not a "sim" racer, family just has had fun with racing games using G29 and I used these wonderful forums to decide to buy Fanatec for the family. I used BF to buy PS4 CSL combo, v3 pedals+BPK, shifter, and formula v2. I just wanted to share my thoughts for informational purposes for others like myself who maybe on the fence.
Everything was shipped separately but they sent me a shipping tracking number 2 hours after I ordered.
I love how everything looks, for example even though the base is plastic it looks good. The V3 pedals and F1 wheel are a piece of art. That F1 wheel is just impressive in looks, quality, and functionality.
Needless to say everything feels so great compared to what I am used to, at least for the PS4 having the thumb switches, rotary, red sticks, lcd flags, etc all working on the formula wheel is immersive.
So far very happy and worth the cost the only complaint I would have is the documentation they provide. Maybe some of this is common sense to most here but not me so I thankfully I had these forums.
For instance:
1- Only a quick guide available that tells you nothing for the Formula v2
2- I had a screw taped inside the box of the Formula v2; not mentioned anywhere
3- I had an o-ring in the csl box, mentioned I should have it in the manual but not what to do with it.
4- No mention that thumb dials are to be flicked; I would think most are trying to move them like switches
5- No mention of how to remove button caps; wouldnt of known to find the slots and use a screw driver
