i can't help but to think it will be back... It will disappear for awhile, but GM will bring it back...

The Vette went though the same type of thing.

I don't think so, they never stopped makin the Vette!

I'm almost positive GM will bring back the F bodys in a couple of years. There is no way they'll let the Mustang go on unchallenged, let alone the import competition that we will be seeing in the near future. As well, I can't believe GM will sit by quietly as Dodge brings out the Charger in 2003. They do need time to redesign a more up to date version, and with Camaro and Firebird sales as low as they are, it really doesn't seem practicle to keep producing them in the mean time. There have been several rumors to date about a posible replacement. The Austrailian platform with an independent rear drive for one example. Remember, there is some truth to all rumors. Only time will tell.

But how will it return? It would not be the same if it came back as a v6 import ripoff. Too different of character.

f-bodies are made in canada, at least in part. Schumy, do you also say big guns small *ahems*

btw, i may be related to one of the owners or drivers of one of the race cars in that post of mine you quoted. Hyuck, hyuck.

Well, sure, some cars are built in Canada (cheap slave labor, you know :D ). I was referring to the lack of native car makes in the Great White North. :fdevil:

I'm not interested in which country makes better car battles, I just don't see why he had to start something with an uncalled for post. No one went and said he was a Nazi for having a car that can be traced to a man that was part of the german war effort as his avatar. that would be stupid, and bad logic. Why say white-trash mobile? Why? The car is special to me. I'm sorry if not everyone's favorite is from AMG, BMW, Modena, Italy. Such behavior as you show with your post is what is commonly called snobbery, elitism. I ask you again, are you proud, of yourself and your post?

oh, sorry...didn't mean to offend anyone but if it's such a great car then why is GM ending production.......it's 60's tecnology in the year 2001......it handles worth crap and meets the needs well of people who like to do all of their driving in straight lines ;)

hehehe ....yah, alot of your garbage vehicles are built here in Ontario; only you must be confusing Canada with Mexico which is to the south of you.....Canadians would probably make the same earnings as the ones in the states.....the only reason your companies are here is because it's more convienent for the big three to sell their products when the cars are already built here....go to Oshawa (which is just east of T.0.) where the GM plant is located and every damn car is a G.M. product ....i'm glad that i don't live there!
It would probably be a smart idea not to critizize Canada b/c I could carve your country like you wouldn't believe so don't get me started....most Americans have great misconceptions about our country and you may live in the most powerful country in the world but power isn't everything; the same holds true for cars

Yeah, yeah...so Canadians build our mediocre cars, instead of paying Americans to do it. You should be grateful that GM is creating jobs for you.

Oh, and don't expect to run around flaming people and then not expect to get it back. You'll get no sympathy here.
