Fast Credits To Be Had

This has worked good for me, I'm not saying its the best or only way but I thought I'd share it anyway. First if you can scratch and claw your way to 1,000,000 credits, buy the Vauxhaul Calibra Touring Car and modify it, I got mine up to 555HP. Then enter the Grand Touring Car Trophy under the "Special Events" section and race on the Midfield raceway.

First place prize is 30,000 credits and the prize car is the Unisia Jecs Skyline which you can sell off for a cool 250,000 credits. This makes winning this 3 lap race worth 280,000 credits a pop. The Calibra is VERY capable of winning this race easily with very little practice. Hope this helps some of you. :)

I don't want to sound like Eagle (god forbid) but why do people think that after 5/6 years of GT2 being released, we haven't worked out a way to make big bucks in the game.
It is a good idea, and I'm sure many people are grateful for a new technique, but use abit of common sense please.

Sorry for trying to help.

That GTCT at Midfield can be won using a sub 250HP car. One doesnt need to use the Calibra (unless one wants to try lap the others, a hard task in 3 laps).

Edit: Rather take the Calibra to Red Rock - All Star race and win the 500,000cr Speed 12.

Won all the GTCT events with a '96 Mirage Asti, with a mere 229hp and no race mod, so it's quite possible. Beating the Ruf Yellow Bird is the tough part (holding it up a few times on the strights certainly helps at Midfield Raceway). I won the Grand Valley event with a Lancia Y, no race mod and ~200hp, so 450hp is definatley overkill (unless you're using Simulation tires).

Fogelhund could probably do it with a fully-tuned Ford Ka, by my estimation!

That sounds like a challenge....... :scared:

I'll have to give it a whirl. 👍

Well, you'll be happy to find that it is possible to win the Grand Touring Car Championship with a Ford Ka. I ran it fully tuned, but without the Racing modification.

The Red Rock Valley event was a pretty easy victory actually. Had the lead by the fourth turn (right hander after esses), and was never challenged on the way to a 5.512 second victory.

Then off to Midfield, against the most powerful cars in the class. Lined up against the RUF, and Viper. These cars had me on the main straight, I killed them in turn one, they'd pull away at the end of the straight, and then from there to uphill after the tunnel, they were owned. ;)

In the end, a very close race, and admittedly I blocked the RUF on the last lap, and won by .069 seconds. My gearbox could have been a bit longer, as I was hitting the rev limiter on the main straight, which may allow for a little more straight up victory.

bindidiot does have a point though - i am one of the younger members here at 15, and when I first started the GTCT races all i used were specials, but now i can win them in any tuned FF sedan, as it is a very easy race the more you do it - although the YB is harder to beat. My '89 Mazda 323 Sedan currently holds the lap record there at 1: 11:000 (not a hybrid!) Today I am going to try and beat it with my VW Lupo (175hp, 754 kg)

The easiest car I think to win the RRV ALLSTARS race is the 80s Skyline Slihoutte (with LSD and ASC and TCS lol)
