In GT3 for example a fast way to earn money was to purchase a Mazda right off the bat and then upgrade it enough to win the Mazda Endurance race. After winning the race, the prize money was enough to really get things moving in Gran Turismo.

So... with GT4, rather than run the same beginner league race 1,000 times just to earn some decent money, what's a fast way to get the ball rolling? TiA

i dont have the game, but the easiest way is if you have a gt3 file on your memory card you will automatically end up with a lot of cash. Other than that i suggest getting all the licenses and earn those cars from getting gold

Get a decent car like a silvia from the used car lot then go to the special conditions hall. The race second from the top is on Capri. Two races with two laps each will get you a Toyota RSC raid rally car that you can sell for 26 million (probably 260k in the PAL version). Clear the series and run the two races again and you win the car again.

As an example on how to get going quickly on just those races, by taking your stock silvia to that race and winning both races, you can sell the RSC and buy an Amuse R34 Carbon. That car is a MONSTER!

By using the Carbon R34 and throwin in a Stage 3 or 4 turbo, you can further get more cash by running the Grand Valley Endurance (400,000 credit award) and collecting the Sauber C9. Then use the Sauber C9 to race in the Grand Valley again (another 400,000 credit) and then sell off the second Sauber (approx. 800,000 credit). That's a cool easy 1.2 mil!

I'll buy a cheap 2nd hand and do a lot of Sunday cups... I wouldn't want to go through the game too fast... once I start building up a collection of cars these ideas are good though. :nervous:

I'll be checking for Action Replay stuff... :D. As much as I want to go through the game legitimately, I don't really have much time entering the baseball season right now. I want to do lots of Photomode work, and I need to own the cars... :P. Action Replay it is! :D

Iceburns: you have the right idea. Once I complete 100%, i'm action replaying the money so I can own every single car and have it in my garage, maybe even some in different colors. Being able to take snapshots of (if your mem stick is big enough) every single car in your garage sounds like a feat, but enticing none the less. =)

Also, having every car in Arcade mode ALMOST makes up for the fact that there's no garage racing. =(

Wuss. :)

In GT4 (complete only for 27%) the best car to sold and re-win is Renault 5 Turbo Maxi. you can get it in special condition hall at George V rally normal level. I sold it for a mistake and my money grow up about 30.000.000!!!!!!!!!!!
and so this car is very easy to win!
👍 👍

Do the license tests until you are awarded the Nissan 270R. Use that in the first few races in Special Condition Hall and you can get the Cadillac Cien (this thing is a monster). Also, if you can win the Nissan Motul Pitwork Fairlady in the Japan GT, that car will win you alot of races. Use it in the Grand Valley 300 and win the Sauber. Then equip your Sauber with R1 tires and enter it into the Montegi 150 (the easiest of the enduros) You can use Bspec and pit on lap 33 and 66. It will win you 20,000,000 and the Honda NSX prototype LM car. Keep running the same enduro on B-spec (takes 15-20 mins) and you keep earning 20,000,000 plus you can sell the NSX prize car for 33,000,000. This game is great! There are so many ways to go through it, nearly endless replay value. You will need all the money you can get your hands on. Unlike GT3 there are a lot of fantastic cars that you cannot win, but have to buy.

aka student AND baseball player. GTR is also coming in the mail very soon. Hard to split my time! :P

Really, call me evil or whatever anyone may choose, but I don't really have the time (or skill!) to complete GT4 and get the cars I want. I did it for GT3 too...

yea, but u need to have atleast done 25% to get into the endurance hall

i would suggest what Bilgewater said :)

How much money do you get in the beginning without the GT3 credits
And " " " " " with the GT3 credits INcluded
Just need to compare those 2

I don't think that's going to be THAT easy with a (I think) 24hours endurance to win, it's gonna be easy but very LLLLLLOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGG

I already know how to drive in real life... just jealous huh? :D

All this talk about moving cash from GT3 save-file to GT4. How does it work, really!? I only completed GT3 like 20% or less *shame on me* and therefor had no SUPERB amount of money, but the little I had, will it transfered!?? And the GT4:P savefiles, what about them. Do they only count if you've completed the whole prologue? I completed like 80-90% in bronze/silver, then my friend wanted HIS game back. Will my savefiles from GT3 and Prologue be any useful for me?

In the beginning, I purchased a car that I enjoyed driving and was quick (Lancer EVO 8), fixed it up with turbo and suspension and kept racing the second Special Condition Hall race in Easy. Win those two races, sell the Toyota RSC Rally Raid that you win and get 26 million credits for about 6-8 minutes time. Go back, reset the trophies and race again.
