That car is amazing, too bad it'll never be driven again. :( HKS spent $300K on it for one time trial, they wanted to beat the track record at the Tsukuba circuit in Japan. Got it by 2 seconds...

Don't know who held the prev record, but I just found this. Check it, a short write-up, a couple pics...

Hey, it seems the car is dragged out at car shows & such. Look here.

Tommykaira R is a great car, much better handling than the base Skyline R34 VSpec!
ive never tried tommykaira...
can someone give me any ideas about what cars they sell?
is tommykaira like RUF?
wat i mean is do they get any old car from the shelf, screw around with it a bit, and re-badge it?

im sorry for my lack of knowledge, but it has been a sad 12 months without any gt2...

RUF is the Porsche tuner. Because the Porsche license is owned by EA (Electronic Arts), Polyphony couldn't use Porsches in the game. However, EA doesn't own the license for RUF (the Porsche tuner) so RUF tuned Porsches are available.

Example: Say EA owned the Viper license (so there would be no Vipers in the GT Series) but didn't own the Hennessey license (a Viper tuner) they would be able to use Hennessey vipers, like the Venom 800TT, etc.

BTW, I don't know what Tommy Kaira does, I reckon there some car manufacturer that no-one knows about
