Just wanted everyone's opinion. Mine is a three way tie between the Shelby Cobra, Vette stingray Prototype, and the Audi R8.

Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, sounds good and drives really well, and it looks amazing too. The HSV-010 is quite fun to drive because of the sound.

I like the GT40 - mainly because in cockpit view you get to sit in the middle. Other than that, it's fun to drive and sounds half decent.

Edit, I was drink driving last night... you don't sit in the middle!

Well I thought I was going to not like it but I would say the X-Bow R...it's jittery due to it's short wheelbase but once you get it down it is a blast to drive and very quick :D 👍

Am I the only one that feels a bit like a cheater with these anniversary cars? I don't know, feels like it ruined the career, the whole progression of "grinding to get money to buy X car for a specific event"

I know what you mean. I've only used the cars that i have the equivlent PP to so I don't feel I;m cheating :D lol

This makes perfect sense, but we are making much less money than before on "the grind". I got tired of driving a Honda Fit :/

I am loving my 86GT. I do love the Shelby Daytona Coupe though haven't driven it. I stuck with the Fit until I was able to use the 86. So far I have 23 wins with it and it is what I use for grinding. I don't feel at all guilty with having the Anniversary cars. Most everyone in the US had the option to buy the upgrade. I feel bad for those outside the US because I didn't see any real incentives other than Japan. I would share if I could.

Actually, they are coming with the Latin American version as well. And, as a curiosity, here in Brazil there is Ayrton Senna's signature and a small pic of him in the cover with "Ayrton Senna para Sempre" which means "Senna Forever".

Anyway, back to the cars: I enjoyed the Ford Focus, it is quite good, and not overpowered, for the earlier races.

I only use them in Arcade, same with the cars I bought with the million credits.

I liked the 908 in GT5, now I like the R18 in GT6.

I've wanted to drive the SLS ever since I saw it was announced back in May, I am quite fond of it too.

Fun fact on the SLS: GTP's tame racing driver, Christhedude, races one in VLN.

SRT Viper GTS 15th Anniversary Edition

I encourage you all to please try this car on the Laguna Seca, right now. Bone stock.

You're welcome!

So far I really like the Toyota 86GT... Just feels really planted. Makes the career mode a breeze in the early races as well.

This, what an awesome little car it is, got me through many races early on in Career mode.

I've used it for a few events. When stock, it gets jittery under braking.

I haven't driven them all yet but I love the GT40 and the R18. Looking forward to driving the rest of them, especially the X-BOW.

I believe it is. The car is a 2014 Stingray from the anniversary pack. I started with it. It's a pretty car and drives really well.

The Vette in the Anniversary pack was not a prototype. The Vette in that article I linked is a prototype race car, that has been announced as coming "in the future."

Correct me if I'm wrong but you bought the special edition to get those cars so you could drive them, right? I've seen a few people say they feel guilty or cheating and at least one person who claimed it was a "disgrace" to use them.

I paid almost $75 to get GT6 15th Anniversary Edition w/ 25 cars delivered to my door on the 6th and I'm damn well going to use those cars. No I don't feel guilty or like I'm cheating in the least bit. I use the Power Limiter to decrease the HP to get the PP down (running as much as 100pp down from the max) and run the race again if I'm winning too easily which is most of the time. When it comes down to it I bought this game to race cars and I'm not going ignore 25 cars in my garage because I got them with the special edition of the game.

I haven't ever tried the normal version but the 15th anniversary Focus is weird. 5th gear is pointless.

It's got a really high 5th for fuel economy. Put in the close ratio transmission and the LSD and you'll have a totally different car on your hands.

Actually, I bought a regular version and it had a sticker on it "DLC Free - anniversary edition, etc". As far as I am concerned, at least right now, all GT6 sold here in Brazil come with the Anniversary DLC for free.

And btw, I'm not ignoring them too - have been using the cars in the races. I just feel they fast-tracked me through a part of the game. Not sure if this is a good thing or not.

but judging by the gear ratio numbers, 5th gear *shouldn't* be **THAT** tall. take a look at the supra/skyline v160/v161 gear ratios, 5th gear there is direct drive with 6th being 0.793/0.818...now look at the st's 4th which is very close to being a direct drive gear with 5th being 0.821, which in all reality shouldn't be no different than changing from 5th to 6th in a supra. this car is most definitely bugged, i'm a tuner that tunes across multiple games and gear ratios are one of my specialities, so i know what i'm talking about when it comes to proper gear spacing.

R8 LMS and Nismo GT3.

R8 was really unstable under braking though but softening the rear along with some toe in helped solve that.

Could you not have done it with the Fit and cars you won for completing sections of the game? I could've so I know others could as well because I'm not that good. You'd have done the same thing you did but you'd have used different cars and spent your credits on cars you'd likely almost never drive again if ever. I don't think it was all that much in the way of a fast track. The only thing that would've really changed for me would be purchasing a BRZ/GT86 earlier than I did and using it as I have the one from the Anniv pack. So maybe a 30k change in my credits? I've barely bought anything in the way of upgrades, only a tranny and lsd for one vehicle and tires for a couple of others.

It is a perceived massive change in gear ratio. I suppose it could be bugged, it wouldn't surprise me since it's a brand new release. Changing to the close ratio did make a huge change in the car so I guess that specific component of that car is messed up.
