Favorite Auto Mag

Yeah, man. GRM is the only car magazine I ever read. They actually talk about cars I might someday even see, let alone drive or [gasp] own. Plus they - surprise - actually know how to work on their cars.

It's the best car magazine around, hands down. No multi-mega-buck exotics, no showboat trailer queens. Real street cars and real race cars.

Call me crazy, but I don't think I've ever seen an issue of Grassroots Motorsports! I have fixed that now, though - I just signed up for a free issue on their website. :)

My favorite magazine is Top Gear. Some British members will probably recognize their show on the BBC. I believe I have the majority of their episodes downloaded on my computer (they are great)! :D

i can't find Grassroots over here... :(

so i read the next best thing, SCC and Turbo.

plus EVO and CAR, sometimes R&T...

in the "never will touch this one again" category:

Import Tuner
Honda Tuning
Super Street
HCI
Motor Trend
and the French "tuning" mags...

In Australia:
- 'Wheels' for general car news (monthly)
- 'Motorsport News' for racing news (fortnightly)

Foreign mags:
- 'Car and Driver' from the US. Only pick up the 'Ten Best' issue
- 'Car' from the UK. Seem to buy whenever I fly.
- 'Autosport' from the UK. Tend to buy the season review issues.

i came across a cool mag called speed (got the very first issue becuz it had only just started up that month) and can't find another one

I read every word of:

evo
CAR
Sport Compact Car

Not that I take all of it to heart, but there's something to be gleamed from quality British writing and reasonable stateside shop talk. I read the Brit rags for the amazing photography and articles that at least appear to be balanced; SCC is pored over because they love the WRX so much. :)

I get The Jaguar magazine , wheels and motor

but have the advantage that I deliver magazines to the shops so get to see them all and read what ever ones I want

My favorite magazine will be depending on some of its categories, some of 'em are from the web:

By Country:
*Italy=Auto
*German=Auto Motor und Sport magazine
*England=(tie)Car and Top Gear
*Austrailia=Motor magazine
*USA=(monthly)Car and Driver; (weekly)Autoweek
*Philippines=Automotion
*Hong Kong=Car and Driver (Chinese edition)

As you can see I'm still looking for a Japanese magazine.

Specialty:
*Asian Trucks= 4X4Mag
*US Trucks= Open Road (discontinued) and Truck Trend (current)
*European buyers guide=Auto Motor und Sport: Auto Katalog
*USA buyers guide=(monthly) Consumer Guide Auto Buyers guide; (annually) Edmunds; (magazine-based) Road & Track; (initial testing) Consumer Reports; (web based) Edmunds, Autoweek and Carpoint

Purpose:
*Tabloid=Motor Trend and AMI Auto World (both US); Top Gear (UK)
*Design=Automotive (USA) and Auto (Italian)
*Performance=Auto Motor und Sport (German); Road & track (US); Car (UK); Motor (AUS)
*Classic Cars=Road & Track (US); Auto (Italy)
*Web-based=Edmunds
*Tuner=(Euro) European Car; (Asian) Import Power; (for my B17) Honda Tunning; (US) Hot Rod

The worst mag: Automotion (only auto mag in the Philippines)

Hope it doesn't confuse you guys. :)
