Assuming we're only talking about new to franchise stuff, there's been so many gems in this game it's difficult to choose just one or a handful of them.

The Singer DLS and GuntherWerks 400R were highlights for sure, as were the Alpine A110, Citroen DS, Racing Puma, Supervan 3, Megane R26R, Pulsar GTi-R and the 205 Rallye. But then there's also the new Vantage, E-Type Lightweight and C-Type, the Austin-Healey Sprite and 3000, the '73 Range Rover, the Bentley Turbo R, the Unimog and the Hammer, the Rover SD1. And we can't forget the 968 Turbo, 959 Dakar, the '74 Civic RS, C8 Corvette, Mustang GT500, Ranger Raptor, Escort RS Turbo and McLaren 600LT... Oh, and the GT40 MKI, GT70, E63 AMG, Hillman Imp, Esprit S1, Jarama, MGB GT, Mini Traveller, the absolute chaos that were the Napier Railton and the Peels, the Triumph TR6 and TR7... This game has easily the most diverse and enjoyable roster of any racing game I can think of (yes, even including the likes of GT4) even if it has polarizing content like the Hot Wheels and Lego stuff.

I can safely say that I will not be sad if the RAESR Tachyon and Rimac C2 never make it to another game, however.

Pretty much any car that I would like to own IRL which FH4 has alot of, there would be too many for me to add so i'll just add my top 10:

1. Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR, this one is my favorite due to being my favorite car IRL, I own 4 variations on FH4, one based off the 1997 FIA GT1 Racecar with correct gear ratios, a red 720 HP SuperSport with correct gear ratios, a black stock model and a bone stock silver one.

2. Lamborghini Diablo GTR, was always a fan of the Diablo and the GTR is one of my favorite models, with the SE30 Jota being my particularly favorite Diablo variation but due to that model not being included I went for the next best one.

3. Lotus Elise GT1, I was always a fan of this car ever since i've first saw it in World Driver Championship on N64, I mainly like this car due to it's appearance since the performance is kinda meh tbh.

4. McLaren F1 GT, always preferred the longtail models over the short-tailed ones and the GT is IMO the best looking F1 variation followed by the GTR Longtail and F1 LM.

5. Ferrari F50, found one on the auction house in the exact spec I would get IRL, red with white stock wheels and black headlight casings, one of the best looking Ferrari models and IMO it aged pretty well. Also i'm a sucker for cars with detachable hardtops, hopefully FH5 lets us remove the tops on these kind of cars.

6. Koenigsegg CCX, the late 90s-early 2000s IMO was the best period for Hypercars/Supercars and have a aura that just can't be replicated with the Hypercars of today, the CCX performs pretty well stock and looks good aswell.

7. Nissan 300ZX TwinTurbo, I own one IRL and am a pretty big fan of JDM cars.

8. Saleen S7, I own a maroon one modified to TwinTurbo S7 specifications on FH4 and just like the CCX it has a aura that many cars of today just lack.

9. Porsche 918, one of the few modern Hypercars that i'm a huge fan of, the 918 has great performance even when stock and sounds pretty good aswell.

10. McLaren P1, basically for the same reasons as the 918.

Other favorite cars: Both Porsche 917 models, AMG Hammer, 190E Evo II, Lamborghini Huracan, Aventador SV, Murcielago SV, Toyota Supra MKIV, R33 LM, R33 LM Forza edition, Koenigsegg Jesko, Dodge Viper GTS/ACR, Corvette C8, F50 GT, F40 and F40C, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C3 and Corvette C1.

My top 10 list:.

1. Rover SD1
I've been waiting for this car to be added to the Forza series for a long time.
A cool saloon that looks like a five-door version of the Ferrari 365GTB/4. I am in love with its design, but I have not forgotten its bravery in the BTCC. It took a long, long time for this car to be added to Forza, but I'm not complaining because it made it Advance Paint compatible and unlike other cars, I can now paint those annoying black plastic parts.

2. Ford Racing Puma
One of the most underrated cars in the history of racing games. I've been waiting a long time for this car as well.
A F2 rally rioter with a cute style. I'm also glad they gave this car the option of an F2 style rear spoiler and rally kit.
This Puma is the most owned car in my garage. Whether it's tarmac or gravel, this little monster is a great performer.

3. Nissan Pulsar GTI-R
The forgotten Japanese monster of the 90's rally.
A small hatchback body, a powerful engine, and a radical OEM body kit that looks like an anime robot, typical of Japanese rally cars of this era.
Naturally, I've been waiting for this car to be added to Forza for a long time, and more than a decade after the Jalopnik car pack for FM3, that dream has finally come true.
Of course, I also own multiple copies of this car.

4. Bentley Turbo R
For me, the image of Bentley has always been that of a "sporty Rolls-Royce".
Therefore, Forza's Bentley lineup was not for me until this car was added.
A great design with gravitas and dignity. This is what Rolls-Royce & Bentley is to me.
And the gap between that style and the sports car-like performance that doesn't match. This is why I love Bentleys.

These boxy Bentleys have rarely appeared in racing games.
But now, we can use this car in Forza. What a wonderful thing.

5. Hillman Imp
I've loved this car since I didn't even know its name.
They added this wonderful gem to the Forza and then perfected it with lots of body kits.
My only complaint about this car is that I would have loved to have used it in Motorsport. That's it.
I hope this car will be available in FM8!

6. Mercedes-Benz AMG Hammer
For me, the image of Mercedes has always been the boxy models of the 1980s and 90s.
The elegance of a luxury car. And the opposite of that, "vulgarity".
A car that had both of these contradictory elements was the Mercedes of this era.
For many years, however, the only Mercedes of this era available in Forza was the 190E EvoII.
This model was certainly a Mercedes of this era, but the extreme body kit for homologation was completely different from other Mercedes of this era.
Now, however, we have a second boxy Mercedes.
It is as massive and intimidating as a tank. Classy, yet unique with an outlaw vibe like the Yakuza.
It is my favorite Mercedes in the history of Forza.

7. Peugeot 205 Rallye
Throughout Forza's history, French and Italian mass-market cars have always been neglected. This is because these cars were not sold in the U.S. and were therefore difficult to cover.
Therefore, somewhere in the back of my mind I had given up on Peugeot, Renault, and Citroen cars being added to the game. Even though they are all my favorite brands.
The engine in this car is in the front, not the mid. And there is no crazy wide body. There is only simple and beautiful style.
A simple, fun hatchback. The right look for this car.
I like the Group B monster, but again, the best hatchbacks are FWD with small engines.

8. Renault Megane R26.R
I used to hate this car, I thought its style was ugly, and I preferred the older Megane models.
However, as I grew up, my perspective changed and I came to love this Megane as well.
And as if I had been waiting for it, this car was added to the Forza.
The Eliminator was a hell of a pain. I never once thought of this mode as fun.
But this car was well worth the trouble; it had stability and great grip that you wouldn't expect from FWD.
And even with the AWD conversion, it doesn't tail slide as it does with similar upgrades on other FWD hatchbacks. This car is always able to turn corners in an best line.
This car is the best hatchback for me. Now I'm more captivated by its sharp handling than its style.

9. Peel P50
The smallest car in Forza history.
Slow, small, and cute.
When I found out that this car was coming to FH4, I couldn't help but laugh.
And when I got this car, I laughed again at how small and slow it was.
This car does not have the performance of a Ferrari or Bugatti. But when I explore England with this little car, I feel more pleasure than 200mph of these cars.

10. Chevrolet Nova Forza Edition
Most of the cars mentioned in this list so far are European cars.
However, the cars that I really love are American cars. Wild, savage, and rugged monsters.
But I can't deny the fact that most of the famous muscle cars have already appeared in Forza, and I'm tired of seeing them. These cars are often seen in other games like Gran Turismo and NFS.

The one car that made me excited again after such a malaise, was the existing Nova variant.
The great thing about this car, and it is unique to this car, is the exclusive "drag style" wheel setup.
Muscle cars and drag racing have always gone hand in hand. However, Forza did not allow for such an extreme setup.

This setup, which we got as an exclusive upgrade only available in Forza Edition, transformed this Nova into the perfect drag style.
Naturally, it caused some terrible understeer, but who cares? The good looks trump the handling.

There is only one drawback to this car. That is that this car, like the Atomic Punk and Cobra Daytona Coupe, is notorious for being OP, taking advantage of flaws in the game system.

I have never used this car in an online adventure because I love it.
However, when I see this car used "just to win" in online adventures, it makes me somewhat sad.

This week requires to do a Extreme Track Toys championship to get the 05RR VUHL, so here's my first favorite:

The Diablo GTR is rated 10 in everything but top speed (8.3) I prefer to have it at S1850. As for the handling, overdo the brakes and it will lock up, but brake gently and the response is amazing. It's understeer is manageable with some tuning, so tight circuits like the Ambleside Village race are doable, since it explodes out of the corners with no wheelspin, however, the car is best at road sprints. Finally, it is not a good drifter.

So I won the 05RR Vuhl and quickly became a favorite. Again, high ratings at everything but top speed and that's ok. The car feels light at the front, so turn carefully and it will respond, overall grip, traction and launch are good. Not a natural drifter, but it can be done, I even managed 3 stars at the Ambleside drift zone.

More to come...

I'd honestly find the Group 5/6 Race cars as a personal pick, with the more iconic Martini 917 LH that placed second in the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans, which makes it an odd pick in Horizon 4.

When it comes to production cars, I'd honestly say that I prefer the following:

1. The 2018 Renault Megane RS is a modern hot hatchback that not only shows style, but power, especially when built to rally on the dirt.

2. The 1998 TVR Cerbera Speed 12 surely is a bit broken in S2 Road Racing, especially in wet conditions, but it sure gives you the experience of driving one of the fastest and most dangerous cars of its time.

3. Considering that the Porsche list in Forza has been gradually growing into a decent list, adding iconic cars like the 917s and the 968 just recently in Horizon 4, the #185 Rothmans Porsche 959 Dakar is an interesting addition via the Car Pass, which adds variety into the list (Dakar), while being fun to drive at the same time. Thank god that Car Pass cars such as this are now becoming standard in Horizon 5, giving people who can't afford the DLC a chance to try it.

That is a hard question. So much good cars. But since is FH4 specific here are my favorite cars to drive in game, not necessarily in that particular order.
1. McLaren Senna was my favorite grip car since the early days. The only car that come close to the Senna is the Apollo IE. In fact I'm still not 100% sure if the Senna is trully my favorite of those two.
2. Ford F-150 Raptor is my choice for CC events. And again very hard pick between it and the Mercedes X-class. I guess is more about the look that I prefer the Raptor.
3. Alfa TZ2 is one of the most beautiful cars ever made, imo. And is one of my favorite A-class car. But again it was a hard pick between it and the Shelby Daytona.
4. Nissan Pulsar is my favorite dirt car... maybe my favorite car in game...
5. Koenigsegg CCGT and the Jesko are now my favorite grip cars...
6. Bentley Turbo R or the AMG E64S? I love both but if I have to pick only one... I guess the Bentley wins.
7. Lotus Elise GT1 or the TVR Speed 12? Again a hard choice since I love both a lot.
8. Alfa 155 because of the DTM kit and solid performance in S1... and it's Italian.
9. Ferrari 599XX Evo.... It's my car of choice for 99.9% of PR stunts so I must put it here.
10. #777 Nissan 240 Formula Drift... Again it's my car of choice for most Drift Zones.. so yeah that is the only reason I must put it here.

I was going to say 1 car, and just list 5 of them that I have on Media, but since people are doing top 10s, I guess I am too. By the way, this is the list for me that impacted to me positively in Forza Horizon 4. I have other cars I liked better for sure. I guess if you want, there's a link to the car in mention on the title.

Special mentions:
AMG Hammer: The real rubber shredding, insane Mercedes. Just deserves a mention because it exists.
Volkswagen ID R: Masterpiece, but I don't find myself using it for any real reason.
Ford GT '05: A more personal choice. It felt so rewarding to drive, but alas: it's meta.
Quadra Turbo R V-Tech: not the best crossover idea, but the result was a nice dirt car.
Lamborghini Urus Concept: I made it for S1 Road that somehow worked. But another car has a better claim for good chaos.
Lexus LFA: lives and breathes with the sound in mind.. which is why it didn't make it
Mosler MT900S: reminiscent of my first serious racing sim in GTR2. Also the must have car for free-roam. Nearly made the list, but one car overtook it for me.

10: LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F40 Competizione:
I don't like S2. The experience is coarse, any mistake you make will be rough, other cars are irritating and gets everywhere. I probably have to mention you gotta pick fast or swift, and very few cars accomplish both in good level. Most Ferraris with aero will satisfy this well, and my choice in this case would be the LEGO F40. I can't find anyone making good use of this car, and outside of Winter, I can always rely on it to give me good S2 positions, always reaching the podium at all good times. Special mentions here would be the regular FXX, or even the base F40 Competizione. (NSFW link) And since you know it's coming, let's get it out of the way.

9: Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
There's bound to be some sort of muscle car in this list. So, recently I've been doing seasonals, one being a Modern Muscle in Winter. I so happened to pick up the Charger Hellcat for the job, and on ice: it done me so good, I've outran the AI fairly quickly. Better yet: it wasn't converted in any way, so I sort of have a new appreciation for the car even though it's tuned. I can choose this car for burning rubber, or racing comfortably. I've had other bigger muscle car love for its rivals, but I think the Charger shined for me when it mattered.

8: Aston Martin One-77
One of the first cars I got for the game back in March. It's not represented well in terms of performance, especially in most other games it's in. But it not only looked like genuine art, it got me the initial confidence to plow through higher levels of performance early in my game experience. Even before I started fine tuning the cars I owned to drive, this car was so nice and gentle to me for a luxurious, rear wheel spinning, monster V12 under a British racing marque.

7: Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37
Right now, my family owns the regular variant of this exact Land Cruiser. It's on the list because of that. I call it the car that rides with the other Toyot-erm Baja WPs in S1 Cross Country. It's a total sleeper, and is a true test of my dexterity, especially in Winter. I think for me, this symbolized the ridiculous, chaotic aspect of Forza and other racers that allow this sort of thing to happen in this level. This car isn't basic, but seeing domestic everyday cars going 300 KM/H is just the sort of silliness and amazement we need sometimes in life. Let's not get started with the Peel P50/Trident in Online Adventures.

6: Ferrari 166MM Barchetta
Now, the game is full of old racecars. And when I mean old, they really mean it. I got bored and decided to go the auction house one time and got this thing for cheap. Guess nobody wanted to cruise in a red barchetta. Then came a little stint with me riding this thing in A Class winter. It didn't win, but got third place. On winter. It's not tuned to race for winter. That inspired me to not give up, and I started loving this lil' boat. History dictates that this car was the very one that put Ferrari on the map. It may sound like a dumb move, but that fact had me do something.. maybe a little ways mad. The 166MM was something I've been hoarding for a while now, with 6 in my garage, each serving just about any restriction within Online Adventure (bar S2, one of them is stock). A seventh is coming for drifting. My favorite one is for A-class road (linked above), mainly because it's the first, and built just as pure as the stock one. Didn't put high enough on the list because it's more a fun set of cars than for serious use. Also: I needed to put Red Barchetta somewhere, so.. eh.

5: Toyota MR2 AW11 Supercharged
I have to pick a JDM car sometime, and how about another Toyota, but a normal one? No, not a JZA80 Supra that's being meme'd to death in this game. Here's the one I went for: my childhood hero the AW11. I've had a very limited experience driving this car in games, the last being.. an expy in Wreckfest. I sort of felt bad for not realizing it was in the PS3 era GT games. One of my favorite 80s cars because it was daring, experimental, and sort of nuts. I got in and boy, it did not disappoint what it can do. Find me in game, and you might find me with this cruising by the edges of the map.

4: MINI X-RAID All4 Racing Countryman
I don't quite like MINIs. I also already did this silly Star Wars meme, so I'll cut to the chase: incredibly stable with a bit of understeer. Championship winning. Tall like a SUV. For a MINI. It gets points for being so funny, but successful. I'm also a fan of the (not really) hard-to-find X-RAID Buggy too. My go to for a not so serious run of A-class Cross Country. While I treat it similar to the 166MM (I have 3), I place it higher because it works to my needs much better, and isn't too rare, and not Credit heavy.

3: Hot Wheels Ford Mustang
I had to choose a Mustang. It was going to be the '69 Boss 302, but it wasn't much fun to drive as it was taking photos of it (and bias to the 429 that wasn't in). It was going to be the RTR Spec 5, but I couldn't get it to be driven hard without rewinding time again and again. It was going to be the '20 Shelby GT500.. actually why wasn't it the Shelby GT500? I think because of this charm the Gen 5 Mustang had when it was revived. This charm wasn't in that new Mustang. So I picked a toy car. So what? It's crazy. It can do corners. It's fun. I might have to toss a coin if it weren't for how much I liked the Gen 5 Mustang better.

2: Porsche Carrera GT
My take on Porsche has been how I like making fun of the cars being so similar and boring. It does mean they're consistent in making them work, and work good. But sometimes, you take a dare, and come in with something out of line, but still work. They're good at that. And the Carrera GT had me that impression from when it was just a concept back in the day. Over the years, despite the definitely not a driver's car status, it still remained as my favorite super car, waning away slowly by other more sophisticated ones. Now, I know it as my favorite Porsche, still one of my top 10 supercars, and lives on as that, with also being best V10 boi (change my mind). In this game, maybe an off-meta? Keeping it the devoid of conversions for S1 road, I don't think so. At least I hope so. There isn't even a livery or custom paint job for this thing because I don't need to paint it to show off how good looking it is (except that one time in the original NFS Most Wanted, but let's leave that there).

1: Ford Lotus Cortina Mk1
I recalled watching that Grand Tour skit about this little Lotus. It never occurred to me a certain car old men liked would be so well loved, but I didn't really get the memo. Then I saw a video of it racing against other classics in Goodwood last year, and boy did I become a fan of such a quirky little car (as well as the Studebaker Lark Daytona, and the Ford Galaxie 500, but back to the Cortina). In the game, it's underrated and criminally underused. I have 2. One stock for my pleasure, while one is an all converted variant for running with those nasty meta cars in A-class. Performance wise, I can see it not being top level. But it's just the car I sort of wanted with a 400 HP package in barely a ton lugging about. Just behind them until they mess up, and.. the Cortina's gone. Plus: it works well in snowy conditions too. I plan to buy more of these, maybe one for S1 if I feel like messing about. This is probably one of the cars I really hope they didn't forget to import to Mexico later this year.

My favourites are my 595 Abarth and 911 GT3 PO. There are loads more I like and even love, but those two are by far my favourites.

Forza.jpg

My 595, as you can see, is set up on rally suspension which makes it pitch and roll like crazy but it drifts insanely well for what it is, it's not the fastest 595 ever but it's tons of fun to drive, wearing a carabinieri (Italian police) livery because it's just funnier than a lot of the police cars you see people drive. Well, it is to me, anyway. It tops out at 200mph but accelerates faster than most things shy of a FXX Evo.

Forza 1.jpg

And the 911, insanely fast (but not set up with a tail dragging bugged tune) yet handles very well, as much as I love ad hoc motorway racing in it it's the livery that does it for me. People seem to like taking photos of it, I tell myself it's because the car just looks so good but I think it's for their Horizon Promo since you don't see PO cars all that often!

Here are a dozen of my favorites.

1924 Austin Seven 750cc of English industrial might. It’s ridiculously slow, but also ridiculously fun.

1929 Mercedes-Benz SSK Barker Roadster Magnificent classic roadster designed by Ferdinand Porsche before he began his own design studio. A pure joy to drive.

1933 Napier-Railton A Brooklands monster I never expected to get in a racing game. It chugs like a locomotive and the sound of that broad-arrow W12 is a delight.

1949 Hot Wheels Ford F-5 Dually Custom Hot Rod The whole Hot Wheels DLC is full of fun cars, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed driving this old Ford with its twin-turbo diesel V10.

1953 Jaguar C-Type Representing all the iconic sports cars of 1950s/60s England, the C-Type was long overdue. Powerful and sexy, it’s a driving experience to savor.

1960 Porsche 356 RSR from Emory Motorsport I really wasn’t expecting to like this car. I figured it was just another hot rodded Porsche. Well, it is and it isn’t. It’s definitely hot rodded, but it’s not just another 356. This is one seriously fun car.

1965 Peel Trident The Trident is hilarious. 49cc of bubbletop whimsy. Both Peels are a strong reminder that fun is the most important element in Horizon.

1966 Hillman Imp It’s got a 750cc four in the back of the car. Stock it’s fun. But its even more fun with just a little bit of tuning. The big bonus is the body kit and all the various aero goodies. It’s a giant killer.

1966 Volkswagen Double Cab Pick-up As a fan of all things air-cooled VW, I never imagined the double cab pickup would make it into the game. Drive it stock, turn it into a rally monster, you can’t lose.

1975 Citroën DS23 I’ve been waiting 25 years for the Goddess to finally make it into either Gran Turismo or some version of Forza. And now it’s here in my favorite game, Horizon. I love it. Thoroughly unique design and engineering. This is easily my favorite car in FH4.

1991 Bentley Turbo R Watching this car do it’s thing is akin to watching granny lift her skirts and cut a rug at the local club, but it’s also like discovering granny still has some wicked moves. You go, granny!

2017 Alpine A110 Proof I can love new cars, too. Perfectly balanced and stunning to look at. It’s just a crime we can’t buy this in the US.

FH4 was the first Horizon game I played so I'm not just limiting it to new-to-FH4 cars.

#1 Lotus Cortina - one of my favourite cars of all time so have to put it at number one in my list.

#2 Bowler EXR S - my go to A800 car for anything even slightly off-road.

#3 Bugatti Type 35 C - one of the pre-WWII GP cars had to be on the list, the Bugatti is the best-looking to my eye.

#4 Dodge Challenger R/T - in Vanishing Point white obviously. This had better make it to Mexico for desert photo ops.

#5 Local Motors Rally Fighter - my go to car for any off-road weekly challenge. Recouped the 100,000 autoshow cost many times over in wheelspin prizes.

The Austin Seven would have made my top five if you could put the roof down or (preferably) it came in the hard-roof model. I can't explain why but I just don't get on with the soft-top, roof-up look.
