Favorite Minivan

I found my favourite mini van one night while on kazaa. I thinkit was about an '89 Caravan and it was at like 500HP WITH NOS... it raced a camaro z28 and beat the pants right off it...
that was my fav minvan

Was that 500hp mini-van the white one with wood paneling down the side? I have a video of it too... I don't know how much HP it has, but I do know it's like a 12 second FWD mini-van, and it's badass. I used to have the video of it racing that silver Z28, but now all I have is the video of it doing a huge smokey burnout.

Oh, and I don't have a favorite mini-van. To tell you the truth, I doubt I could even name like 2 mini-vans.

MPV ofcourse, the 89-94(before the longer frontend), then the All Sport, and now the 2002 MPV with 200 HP....great reliability, can hual a lot, just great vans.

We have a '92 V6, it's nice as hell, almost 90,000 miles and the only work we needed to do to it was the normal tuneups and a new radiator after we got hit head on a week after we got it in '97....looks great, only minor door dings(thanks big SUVs).

BTW, MPV stands for Multi-Purpose Viehicle....

Renault Espace F1, period. the Ultimate minivan, there's no other i'd want to own...

theres a ford econovan down the road from me. its got a rear mounted 429ci v8. its a burnout car and isnt street reg'd. does that count?

not the stock Espace, the Espace F1, with the Renault V10 in the back... basically a 1993 Williams with a Minivan body on it...

What's your favorite minivan, and why?

My favourite is the Vauxhall Zafira. The way the seating folds down into the floor is great, and its not bad to drive, especially the GSi version, which looks pretty hot as well! Well, it looks about as hot as minivans get. Ohh, and there was the Williams Renault Espace, 700bhp and slick tyres, now that was a minivan! :D

I agree with punkrock, Espace F1 (it was in GT2). Saying that though I've got video of the 12 second caravan so that rates pretty high. Also in the Ford Transit Supervan 3, it may be a van but it is only 7/8ths the size of a real transit so I guess that makes it a mini van. Thats using old F1 technology as well, not as potent as the Espace in theory but its a white transit van. That means it's about 4 times as fast in practice.

And anyway, whats wrong with Euro minivans M5power? They are much cleverer than you average american van avec windows.

That's why I went with Japanese...the MPV features moveable and removeable middle seats, and the rear seat can be made flat or flip back so that you can sit out the back(not while driving). Middle windows go up and down instead of just out a little...power everything, 6 CD changer.

And it drives great.

:D Just bought a 2002 Pontiac Montana (November 2001) and this thing is incredible. 8 passenger seating great power and best fuel economy of all extended minivans. My 13 year old plays Rep hockey so in 3/4's of a season(5 months) I put on almost 20000 km. and still spent less on fuel than just regular driving in my old V-8 full size Buick wagon. As an added bonus my wife thinks I hate driving it so she won't bother to ask me to use it.

not to mention everyone stole that idea from Honda's first Odyssey, back in 1995...

My choice:

Long Wheelbase mini [US]: 2002 Honda Odyssey EX
The best Minivan out there, Honda reliability, Honda durability, most powerful & refined engine in its class, the safest, and the only drawback is you'll have to wait in line to get one.

Short Wheelbase mini [US]: 2002 Mazda MPV ES Gotta live the power windows on the sliding doors, one of Consumer Reports best pick mini, updated engine, zoom-zoom with 7-seats.

Old mini: 1998 Mazda MPV ES 4WD
The real SUV wannabe and thats good! I agree with MAZkid for this.

Traditional mini (w/ sliding doors) [EU]: Volkswagen Caravelle/Multivan 2.8 V6(Eurovan in US)
The original European minivan, camper-ready, vault-like tough.

Wagon-like mini (w/ 4 conventional doors) [EU]: Renault Grand Espace 3.0 V6 24V
Europes bestselling mini, F1 optional.

MadMedic: I also really like the Montana; it's real nice-looking and has got all-wheel drive, but I still don't like the GM "let's re-badge it" thing. Oh well...

Fiat Multipla because it's genuinely clever.
