Hey everyone..
I should start by saying that I find the "JGTC" cars , Skylines , Supras , NSX's and the like more fun to drive in GT2 , and I do the GT500 Championship a lot more times than I race in the GT World League or whatever its called.

I've always had a thing for Toyota. The Castrol Toyota Supra was perhaps a dream for many of you gamers when you started out in Gran Turismo 1. Thankfully, you can win that machine in Gran Turismo 2 and have its 680 horses at your side. To me, ANY JGTC Supra is a good choice. The Castrol Supras are quite lively with their white cars with red and green accents, symbolic of Castrol. I think the Castrol Supra from GT1 is pretty fun. I'm pretty sure it was around racing in the JGTC, since the JGTC (now called Super GT) has been around since 1993 or 1994.

Get the most recent Toyota Supra. Get yourself the Denso Sard Supra. Or bag yourself the Castrol Supra from GT1. Can't go wrong with its balance of power and good handling. I think the Toyotas are the most balanced of those race cars.

But why are there 2 Castrol TOM'S Supra's in GT2? '96 and '99 I think...

Thats right, '96 & '99 veresions, as to why I don't know. I don't even know if there is much difference between the cars. Could just be different body styling or paint jobs.

Under the '96 cars the wheels looks odd. way too small,or the rest just too large :nervous:

The 96' Supra has different aerodynamics than the 99'. If you'd compare the two in real life, The two would have different performance characteristics. As a matter of fact, almost all of the Supra GT's has different aerodynamic styling.

Is that shown in the game?

Yes, look closely at the denso sard Supra GT and compare it with the 99' Castrol Supra GT. The aerodynamics (front fins, rear wings, etc.) are different on Castrol Supra versus the Denso Sard Supra. Try and compare some others, too.
