I'm making a site at the moment for a 'clan' that Jon - The Super Moderator is in.

go here: http://www.entertainmentforums.net/renegade/

That is what is so far online I can't attach the current version because it is 100kb+
I wanna know if everything looks alright on cross platforms.

And no people I'm not friggin advertising! - I'm 13 why would I start up a business thingamagigy.

I have attached a picture of what the current version looks like and hopefully while I am on holiday tomorrow and 9 days after that Jon will have uploaded the updated version I had sent him.

He's just gotta do alot of work on the forums!

BTW: IT IS VERY MUCH WORK IN PROGRESS!

Flash, I knew it....but I like it, and I'm not into that FPS stuff.

One tiny fault: I don't have that "bitmap" font installed on my computer, so you may want to just use an image of your intended text, or choose a generic sans-serif font. I forget if Flash allows a secondary font choice (like HTML), but if it does, merely add "sans-serif" next to your desired font choice.

Feedback:

The presentation is clean and layed out nicely. The flash banner above the forums is a nice touch as well. The font/color combination is a little annoying and not very nice on the eyes. It's still legible, just a little hard on 'em is all. Not all the links are active on the tabs, but I'm sure you knew that. The filmstrip/movie effect on the screenshot box is a nice touch, and you gotta just love the helecopters! Anyhow, lookin good!

It looks good to me, and like TAFJonathan mentioned, the text size is small... I have seen other sites that the text was so small I could not even comprehend what is said because they did not take into account the fact of several platforms (Text tends to look smaller on Macs than on PCs.) I can read it, barely.

The site does look great. Good job. :)

Personally, i see nothing wrong with the colors, they are fine. But, the font size under "Welcome to the Renegade Squad's homepage" is too small, especially for that font. Try a small Arial instead, or just make the text bigger. :)

Jon mentioned the text thingy to me.

The original font was a lil' more closed in than this more spaced out version called 'Silkscreen'

I will change the main text font but I am afraid of what font will satisfy me and others while keeping the design smooth and not too bulky.

The forum header needs to be condensed by 5 pixels in width because at the moment at 800 x 600 it is justified fully....I want some breathing space.

Nice feedback guys!

Looks good, but I'd change 1 thing. The scrolling function you have would get pretty tiresome, instead, try to have a mouseover option to scroll.

You think, sometimes people have their mouse over buttons for too long and find it difficult to co-ordinate it with a click it is more controllable and it isn't like your scrolling more than 5 lines of text is it not?

no, but if you don't want a mouseover, you could try to have it so you don't have to click for every line. It gets kind of tiresome...
