After GT racing got it's resurgence in the early 90's Ferrari have been competing in the lower classes with racing versions of their V8 supercars. The 355 saw some success in the BPR GT but it wasn't until 2000 until Ferrari would become a contender for team and drivers championships.

After the rules were changed in 2000, following Mercedes' absolute dominance in GT1, GT2 became GT and a new class was created called NGT. This class featured cars with around 450HP with grids generally filled with amateur drivers.

Up until 2003, there were only 2 cars in the FIA GT's NGT class. Most of the class was filled by the popular 911 GT3-RS but some teams, such as JMB Racing and Team Eurotech, opted to use the 360 Modena.

One of the more prominent teams to bear the Ferrari flag was Team Maranello Concessionaires. Previously known for racing Ferrari racers in the 60's, TMC returned to GT racing in 2003 to race in the FIA GT Championship with the new 360 Modena racer.

2003 would be the final year of the 360 Modena, as Ferrari would build a more purpose built "360 GTC" for the 2004 season, although some teams retained the older 360 Modena.

Despite it being their first season, Maranello Concessionaires got off to a cracking start, with 2 podium finishes in the first race of the season. The #88 car would be driven by Tim Mullen while #89 was driven by Jamie Davies.

Jamie Davies finished 5th in the drivers standings with 55 points while Tim Mullen was 7th with 38 points, which brought Team Maranello Concessionaires to 3rd in the NGT Teams with 70 points, putting them just 1 point behind JMB Racing, who were also running 360 Modena's.
