i think the Ferrari DLC is crap quite frankly yea its good becase were getting new cars but hey who cares if those cars are ferrari let x box have them f#ck Microsoft.

why dont they just make a new set for the PS3 with proper cars like the noble and the rascal proper drivers cars instaed of the Ferrari crap, there is nothing better than a super car killer

FXX with 21 car rating looks nice and F50GT with rating around 18 also seems nice, rest of them are crap! Yes and don't need them as well.

Well, that's more like a F430s fetishists car pack, isn't it? ;) But boy, do those engines sound great - not necessarily 100% accurate, but a real feast for the ears.

I could have done with less 430s and a bit more variety and classics. But it breaths some life back in good ole Shift, and the cockpit views and engine sounds are brilliant once again. I do rather enjoy it.

Right now i just wan one car. Gumpert Apollo. And don't really care about any others.

Wow you've tog funny driving style "left to right" :sly: I just wanted to take F50GT and FXX to Nordschleife and see what is what?

Anyone where whose actually brought pack, tell me, is anything customizable?

Or is every car in Tier 4 (or 5)?

How does microsoft own the rights if Sony has Ferrari's in Gran Turismo and other games? sound like a GTAIV-DLC type deal! This is why i hate microsoft

Not a very good reason to hate a business for essentially doing what any business should do - and that is to attract customers.

In any case, none of you are missing a damn thing. I had some points gifted to me and I just downloaded the pack (seeing as I didn't purchase the points myself, why not?) and the pack is a good-for-nothing.

Like the Team Racing DLC, the cars are already in your garage but you can't do anything to do them. Anything whatsoever...

Can you paint the cars a different color? No.
Can you change the wheels? No.
Can you paint a livery onto the vehicle? No.
Can they be upgraded? No.

The only thing you can do to any of the cars is tune them.

That's it.

Maybe I'm in some sort of parallel dimension, but you can do every thing that you just point No to those cars from DLC pack. I'm mean Team Racing. As for Ferrari i have no idea. But team racing and Eleonore for example, yes you can paint put livery, upgrade, change wheels.

Probably Ferrari are so good cars that there is no point to paint them either change wheels.

Considering I've already posted tunes for the cars in the Team Racing pack, I think I knew that already. :P

No, I was talking about the Ferrari DLC.

This is true, team racing cars can be upgraded and changed. As for Ferraris, they are notoriously precious about people 'ricing' their cars so they usually don't allow upgrade in games anyway. If you can tune them, I don't see the issue, none of the tier 4 'hyper-cars' can be upgraded and Ferrari definitely fit in this mould. It is realistic too, how many aftermarket parts for a veyron or a ccx do you find? They aren't raced often and are built for pleasure, unlike the tier 3 cars which are often upgraded and raced in series like GT, LMS and so on. The only Ferrari I'd say you have a case for wanting upgradable parts for is the F430 which is often raced in GT2 and GT3.

EDIT: tree'd by T12 on the team racing , although the rest of my post I stand by.

You raise an interesting point, and while I would agree (in fact I do) the fact still remains that likeness modifications could have made; for example 599 GTB > 599XX-esque body kit. Let's forget about the modifications though...I'm used to that with all of the Tier 4 vehicles, which by the way all of the vehicles included in the pack don't occupy. They span from Tiers 3 to 5.

Would it really have been that hard to allow paint changes, or at least some different wheels?

The audio reproduction isn't that great either. The FXX sounds like it has a high-revving V10. :odd:

My point is, Microsoft, instead of making a strong first party like Sony this generation has used their $$$ to get them temporary exclusive DLC time after time this generation (MW2, GTAIV, etc.). EA could of definitely got Ferrari in the PS3 version and made money there too instead of taking Microsoft's money as compensation. Business is business, sure, but pleasing your customers goes further than pleasing other companies.

Why do you think they took MS's money as compensation? From what they posted, they were only able to get the Ferrari license on 360 at all by sub-licensing MS's 360 Forza rights. Blame the current PS3 rights holders for not making the same deal.

There are loads of tuning upgrades for the CCX the CCX has had an upgrade pack built that shot its top speed to 244mph AKA veyron killer and this is the same story with all the super cars no matter what car it is there is a tuning company tuning them.

I can't quite believe this statement to be true - Ferrari (and Porsche) giving a 3rd party power over licensing their brand? Hardly. But it sounds convenient enough to calm any angry customers.

At least in the beginning worth to spend 10$ for it. It hold Nordschleife Lap record for some time until that Radical show up there. Oh and new track sounds great.

On the downside still there is no problems solved patch 👎

I really wish they included the radical on shift its one of my favorite cars along side all the cosworths and the ford Capri 3 litre and the rs200.

I wish they included more European fords in these type of games all we seem to in the way of ford are the American ford IE the gt and the gt500 the only european ford i come across is the escort cosworth why dont they include legendary cosworths like the sierra cosworth and the big daddy the sierra rs500 and all cosworths have been proven to be tuned to over 1000bhp.

Also they put in the ford focus ST but not the series 2 ford focus RS even tho its new revoknuckle technology is a break through in FWD performance.

It's part of the upcoming March DLC, and of course you'll have to pay for it.

On topic: I finally had the time to spend some time in career mode and do some of the new races. Good stuff I have to say, well thought through challenges and track combinations, though there are a few too many Ferraris on the track in the mixed car races.

Other than that, very good value for money, so all you PC/PS3 users should be in for a treat when the March DLC is out.

Have to say, Shift is ageing quite well and the DLCs seem to offer value for money. Well done, SMS!

No DLC for the PC :(

We seem to hit another wall every time we get a little further into transferring the 360 models over. Though Oleg from Zmodeler is now working on a full track editor at least.

At the moment there's 2 main programs you can use to play around and edit Shift models - 3dsimed and zmodeler2. Zmodeler is more aimed at export from Shift than to Shift, but that means you can export to eg 3DS, and then back to Shift again if you want. 3dsimed is basically the grandaddy of all PC sim modelling programs and will port things to/from about a dozen different sim games with a little work. There are a couple of from scratch / ported models around from that already -

3dsimed also loads tracks:

but at the moment it will only export from Shift and move objects independent of their physics proxy (so you can move where an object appears to be, but not where its collision mesh is located). Oleg who does zmodeler popped up a while ago and said he's interested in getting a track editor going and hopefully dave noonan of 3dsimed will keep plugging away at it in 3dsimed too.
