Ferrari f1

not sure why you piosted twice? some of these cars are in F1CE unlockable, give it a try if you havn't. They are fun.

It's just awesome, I've never seen that one before.
Some of the footage gave me goosebumps. :)

interesting hearing the evolution of the engine sound - RPMs rise over time :D

The Mazda 26B quad rotary engine sounds better though....

The first was probably a tipo-powered early F1 variant from the '50s (sounded like a 4cyl,) though it may be the 500 from the F2-only '53 season?
The second car is the 312 F1 in 1967 trim. The cam-cover shot shows the smaller intake trumpets of the later 48v engine development.
The third car could be the 312B ("Boxer" - flat 12 engined) F1 car from 1970, though I'm not sure.

As for the more modern cars, I'm struggling a bit!

Regarding the absence of the 80s, I think it was a bad decade for Ferrari, particularly the mid-to-latter stages. Indeed, if I remember correctly, Enzo himself died sometime in the late eighties.

That aside, it was an excellent video; I particularly enjoyed the '67 312, as may be obvious :dopey:

EDIT-> Found the official shell version of the video via Google. I haven't watched the making-of vid yet, but maybe the full car list is in there.

I find the part where the car scrapes the wall to be a tribute to Gilles Villeneuve.
It's exactly how he drove, with sliding and especially on Monaco, he used the walls during those slides to set the car back straight. It was just awesome. 👍

Truly awesome. I've not seen this advert before, has it been aired in the UK? Anyway, thanks for the link Griffith500, I downloaded the better wmv version. Heaven would be like this, a endless amount of female beauty's and any classic car you want to race, with the streets empty, or maybe invite just a few people round eh.

No it hasn't unfortunately, someone gave it me in HD and I love turning up the volume and getting a shiver as the old F1 cars hit the high revs.....

I thought the Honda cog advert was the most expensive ever, maybe it was before this but that one and the impossible dream one are still my favorites...

This one really does stir the soul covering Honda's racing history to the tune of andy williams :)👍

Ferrari used AGIP fuel from 1973 to 1995 so shell would not show any cars from that period
