This car started life as a normal F40. The owner decided to take a trip to Europe and put his mechanic to over see the car while he was in Europe. One day the mechanic decided to take the Ferrari for a joy ride and crashed the car, taking the front end of the car. The car was later put up for sale and Gas Monkey had stepped in to bring life back for this beloved sports car. The F40 was rebuilt from the ground up. With rebuilt IHI turbos, custom exhaust, aluminum flywheel, carbon clutch, aftermarket coilovers putting out around 520 hp. It was painted black with black HRE wheels, and had Recaro profi bucket seats. Later the F40 was saled at an barrett jackson auction for around $700,000.

Normally I utterly hate everything Gas Monkey does to cars. However the way they kind of restomoded this car I like. They didn't go overboard with it and still preserved an F40. That I like.
