Hello. I have searched the forum for this topic and i cant find it so here goes.

Im new to this forum and im new to taking GT seriously but now im loving it. I cant figure out something though.

How come the Ferrari F430 oversteers ALOT as soon as you turn without gas or braking ?

If i accelerate abit while turning its okay but if i let the pedal go and then turn it slides.

I thought it was because the engine is in the mid and then i lowered the back to get more weight but it didnt do anything.

i have just watched videos on youtube of other guys driving it and they dont have the problem. Its probably just my skills as a driver but then how do you drive cause it seems weird it would oversteer just because i turn without throttle.

Its called lift off oversteer, look it up. It's when you lift off the throttle and the weight shifts more to the front of the car making the back go light, and when you are pushing the car hard through a turn sometimes it will slide. Should be pretty manageable in the F430.

thanks alot. :) It is nice to get into the game because back in the day i didnt liked the realism but as you grow up it gets more interesting :D

(sorry for bad english, im a dane)

Since im a bad driver how do i manage it ? I have tried driving the NSX and if i lift-off the throttle good time before the corner and not touch brakes or gas and then just turn in it still oversteers alot. So its not just at the lift-off point.

I dont know that much about car physics.

I had trouble with the NFX for the same reason, and gave up on the car. Not that my driving is any wonder either, but I did finish the S Class. But I don't think it's necessarily your driving technique - it may be that the car does not handle corners well - unless you can find a tune that makes it better.

But realize that if a body (in this case your car) is moving very fast but in a stable and controlled manner, it is in a state of dynamic equilibrium. But if you change (increase or decrease) ANYTHING at all - throttle, brake, gear, or steering, then that equilibrium is disturbed and the forces on your car may become unbalanced and exceed the car's grip on the road (i.e. traction) and that's when you lose control and slide off the track.

So, with any car - NSX or any other one - you have to take it fast around the track without other traffic and figure out all your braking points. With some cars you CANNOT go from full throttle to no throttle while steering, without initiating drift and ultimately sliding off the track.

Go over to the tuner's forum....try some of their tunes...probably solve most of your problems.

one of the easiest things you can do is to drive smoothly- never stamp on the brake or on the throttle especially in Professional
