Ferrari FXX racing brakes unpaintable?

So, I know that you must install racing brakes in order to paint the brake calipers, but GT6 is telling me that I can not paint my racing brake calipers on my Ferrari FXX. Also, you can not even change wheels on the FXX. While I like the look of the stock rims, I thought I would just have a peek at what some after-market wheels would look like on my Rossa Corsa FXX. GT6 told me to get lost - it ain't happenin'!

Does anyone know WHY this is the case with this particular car? Also, does anyone know of any other vehicles in GT6 that can have racing brakes applied but can not have the calipers painted? I haven't come across this with any other vehicle yet and I usually do paint the calipers if I throw racing brakes on my car. I don't install racing brakes on ALL of my cars, as I think that's quite silly and unrealistic, but that's a topic for another day...

So...Anyone? Do you know why these can't be painted or any other cars with the same limitation?

You can't paint the huayra's either, even though they are automatically set as racing brakes when you buy the car.

Ahhh...I didn't know that @Chameleon9000! Last week I won the Huayra from that Seasonal Event, but I hadn't yet tried to see what aero parts may be available for that car, or what can and can't be painted. I have owned a Huayra for over a year thanks to the 15th Anniversary Edition I purchased, but I had never tried painting the calipers on the Huayra, mainly because I hardly ever drove it. I just couldn't stand that ugly 15th Anniversary paint job...

I'm guessing you've never come across an answer as to why the calipers can't be painted on these cars?

That would probably be a question better posed to Kaz/PD since they ore the ones that made it that way. Any answer you get from anyone here as to "why" is going to be pure speculation as none of us had anything to do with that decision in the first place. :)

Seeing that I only joined the Gran Turismo franchise with version 6, I figure there is quite a lot I don't know about Gran Turismo that others do. Even after a year of being a member here I am still encountering information regarding the game that I had never known, but several GTP members seem to know the information like it's common knowledge. I often see GTP members refer to comments Translator-San made in this video, or that video, so I asked the question in hopes that perhaps this question HAS been asked and answered by someone with intimate knowledge of the inner workings of GT6.

Ferrari can be funny about how they allow their cars to be represented in games. In Test Drive Unlimited, you could not paint a Ferrari any color other than the factory colors the car was originally available in. You couldn't change the wheels either. It basically had to (visually) remain in an originally purchasable form.

I have come across many cars that won't allow painted calipers or rim replacements. Unfortunately, I did not make a list.
