i tried and i tried and i tried, but i cant seem to drift with a ff/4wd. is ever possible to drift with a ff. can some one tell wut i need to do

4wd cars are easy to drift, just buy the VCD and set that to 10 and stagger the tires (for example front N3/ rear N2). Then tune the car as you would in a FR. FF cars are harder. You'll just have to try some crazy settings and tire combinations to get it to work. Some FF cars just not drift-able. When drifting awd and FF cars, nitrous and hand-brake is your friend. :)

buy a civic eg from used car delarship 1 i think upgrade up to 255 hp no aids its sorta weird but it will and can drift

DRIFTN
This is ignorance.

Step 1: Think to yourself, have i researched this topic?

FF Drifting dedicated Thread
AWD Dedicated Thread

Step 2: Maybe i can find some settings :

Drift Settings Depot

Step 3: Ill Introduce myself, and state my issues in there.

New Members Thread

Step 4: Ill post a thread as my last resort.

Sorry to be so blunt. But the Stickes are at the top of the Forum for a reason.

Good luck 👍

Why are new posts not welcomed at all round here??? fair play there are topics out there containing the info but if he wants to ask the question and get personal attention why cant u either
a)give him it,or
b)ignore the topic

if u dont wanna entertain his request then just ignore the topic, dont tell him hes a ****wit

Ill help u mate

I personally dont bother "drifting" FF as its not really drifting, its just E-brake driving (which GT4 doesnt replicate well)

4WD,i use "dynamic drifting and feint" techique with 4wd. on a left hander, lift off accel, flick right then hard left, then floor it,dont countersteer unless absolutely neccesary.Power over to get the car pointing in the direction the road goes in after the corner, then countersteer to it doesnt slew any more than that

Check that Alfa Romeo Spider,it is FF and drifts like nuts 8)

It's not all posts by new members, it's just ignorant posts- made by new and old members alike.

You're just as ignorant. DRFTN is providing useful information to the topic, which has been discussed in specific threads.

Creating threads that already exist is a waste of bandwidth and it's the mod's job to close them, and the member's job to search before making a thread, and other member's jobs to direct them to related threads.

In fact, you're a new member as well. You should know the rules of the forum before even posting something like that.

It just seems whenever a new topic is made theyre shouted down saying,"post it in the topic already running"

On a car tuners forum u dont see a topic being shouted down and being asked to "enter the post in the same topic" For instance,if someone has a suspension set-up qustion they will be helped in THEIR topic, not told to go to the generic topic

Humm, try this.
Grab a FF, tune it to the max, and do your normal settings. But, on the tyres, choose road tyres on the front, economic on the back, and add a 75KG ballast somewhere on the back of the car.The ballast is not really needed, because the car with that set of tyres will drift like nuts.It worked with me with every ff i tried.I'm sure it will work with you too.

AWD?same stuff.Just put road on the front, and economic on the back, and the vcd all the way back, but then again, is not necessary. When people say that they can drift stock cars with only changing tyres, believe it, it's really true.

Imagine you have a giant online dictionary. To find the definition of any word, all you have to do is search for that word. But rather than do that, someone e-mails the admin of the dictionary asking them what the definition of a the word is...

Now you can see why, when the topic at hand has been answered before, it can annoy people. The information is already to hand and all that is required for new members to get help is to help themselves to it. It is also easier and more efficient if information is stored in one or two places than having multiple - and incomplete or inaccurate - copies spread throughout the forums.

That's just how we do it here.

So we should imitate car tuner websites because...?

I've been to car tuner forums where people consistantly ask the same question over and over. Say it's about brakes, then you have over 50 threads that talk about brakes. Then you get to go through all of those to figure out which one has the info that you need. Not a lot of fun.

Nobody, I repeat, Nobody on the staff is against new threads. What we don't like is unresearched new threads. They slow down the forums with clutter and repeated info. As Famine stated, nothing worse then having incomplete or innaccurate data that people think is correct.

Anyway, I believe this thread is done.
