Number of laps should be less or the same? example(Tokyo R246 - 60 laps)

  • Cut down to 75%, that is 45 laps.

NOTE : Please refer to this TUNE before joining the lobby, it makes the Formula Gran Turismo more realistic and less slippery.

Welcome
To the Formula GT Championship thread,
here i will announce the FGTOC round dates.
This lobby will be public, so anyone who follows
simple rules can join.

About & why:
This FGTOC will be the same or similar to the Formula Gran Turismo
World Championship
event back from GT4.
Why?
Well to me, it was one of the best and hardest events in GT4,
and i am sure a lot of hardcore fans would agree on that.
So in the spirit of GT4 and FGTWC i will host this event in GT6.

Of course we can't make the same FGTWC,
because 4 tracks are missing in GT6.

Replacement tracks MUST have similar length.
I have found replacement tracks, they are a pretty good match.

Track list, [R] is for replacement tracks:

1.__Tokyo R246_____________________60 laps
2.__Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway__127 laps
3.__[R] Rome Circuit_________________88 laps
4.__High Speed Ring_________________77 laps
5.__Grand Valley Speedway____________62 laps
6.__Circuit de la Sarthe 2005 Chicanes___23 laps
7.__Cote d'Azur_____________________78 laps
8.__[R] Matterhorn Dristelen___________95 laps

10._Laguna Seca Raceway_____________85 laps
11._Twin Ring Motegi Road Course______64 laps
12._Nürburgring Nordschleife__________15 laps

I'm interested. But my vote goes to 3rd option because as some tracks aren't GT4, it is better to follow the spirit of GT5. Example: there is an Formula GT championship in GT5 and number of laps are 20.

All of the races were 20 laps and it was uneven

I am sticking with the GT4 FGTWC.

I am so touched that you think my setup is actually good, and good enough to be THE BASE TUNE FOR THIS SERIES :embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed: Sign me up! By the way, I am actually still working on the FGT tune. I still think I can improve that monster.

EDIT: Tune has been updated.

No problem :).When i bought myself the FGT, i did not expect it to be so uncontrollable,
so i went to hopefully find a tune, and luckily there was yours.Again, thank you for taking time for
doing the long tune work.
Btw, if you have, gather some friends to start commenting and finding track replacements.
That will get this thread started and popular.

Well first of all, an easy replacement for El Capitan would be the Matterhorn. And we already have Motegi Speedway, no need to replace something that is in the game.

Trust me, the Matterhorn is a much better replacement for El Capitan. For Seoul, the best replacement would be another city course.

Neither Matterhorn for El Capitan or Rome for Seoul Center are good replacements because their length
isn't similar.Plus, Cape Ring is much better to replace El Capitan then Matterhorn.

I updated the first post with a link to all GT tracks so you can compare the data.

I dont know, im kinda losing interest in this since no one gives a c*** about it, if any one wants to take over, be my guest.

Didn't even know about the test round. How were we supposed to know? We can't see when you update a post. Only when you post again to the thread.

Look, i've wasted 4 hours waiting for anyone to show up.Yes you made it clear that you did not know that there was a beta round, and yes it was my fault that i did not tell you guys in advance.I am just sad that response to this thread is small. But here, i will say that all updates will be done in first post, by commenting that i updated the first post.

Response is pretty good for a GT series, dude. 7 or 8 people in less than a week? That is not bad...

Can't do these, man. Sorry, didn't realize they'd be that early in the morning for me here.

If you guys are still on, I'll hop online. Just woke up.

Again, i started 2 hours ago.Wasted my time, again.
This is why is still BETA, i asked you all:

DO YOU AGREE ON ROUND DATE AND TIME?
DO YOU PREFER SOME OTHER TIME IN THE DAY?

I can make another round today, later probably.
Okay, when this post is posted, in 6 hours i will make the lobby again.

I am all set with this series. You get bent out of shape too easily over your own mistakes. You post that the test race is in 18 hours. Is that ok with everyone? At least gives us two days notice for christs sake. Look at how other people conduct a series. They're not flash races. "Hey guys, race is in the morning." What?

It was afternoon for me when you posted that. I was on here yesterday morning. ...I'm on this morning again. Any other series I've gotten into, we have a week notice...at minimum. If people haven't responded by then, it is assumed they won't make it. You announce it the day of, one or two people respond...how many people showed up? I'm guessing not many from here. Don't get pissed, when you're announcing the races day of and posting reminders when half the world is asleep...with the race occurring whilst...half the world is asleep.

I'm all set, thanks anyways. Next time you host a test race for a season or actual race for a season, give people a heads up that is more than 18 hours in advance. Or not and you'll just have a hard time getting it going with enough people. Typing in caps to make it seem like you're stern or angry is equally as stupid. You're not going to attract much interest when people see this thread. Seems like you want to have a series so bad, that you're skipping the process of getting it going.

Point taken.Sorry.
No one even mentioned or proposed when would they want a race date, so when i asked, no response.
Of course i overreacted, wasting time isn't my jam, so sorry for the Caps Lock.
Alright, time to get serious then.
I'll make the lobby today again as i mentioned, that will still be Beta, so just a simple race with all the regulations.
After it, together we'll agree on a date and time for the Round No.1
Sound good?

At what time? I'll probably be on in a few min. Can only play for the next four hours or so. Then I'll be on again in tonight, but that'd be pretty early for you.

The only thing I'm going to say is to set penalties to off and have drivers report incidents after the race, when you can watch the replay, then penalize them for the next race. That is what most do. When you turn penalties on, the cars ghost if they're about to collide very hard and then people are able to drive through you and pass you, because your car has gone transparent for a moment, so neither car would get knocked off track.

It ruins races. People suddenly don't have to work or wait to pass, they can just drive through you. And they still won't receive a penalty. Not only that, you can get penalties after being rear ended, because the computer doesn't distinguish between getting hit and you hitting someone else when it comes to front and read impacts.

Guess I may as well do the seasonal time trial now haha. Not my favorite car...I love the lotus, but that'll just make it more of a challenge for me :) Can't use not liking the car as an excuse not to do the seasonal now haha
