FIA Manufacturer Series Lobby Error

Heyo,

I hate to make a complainy thread but twice I’ve had this issue and I was wondering if anyone else out there has experienced the same thing.

Tonight was the second time I’ve been booted from an FIA session with error CE-34878-0.

Once was pre-qualy during matchmaking and the second was right after qualy (got pole, no less).

Oddly, both times were GR.3 races in Manufacturers Series at Kyoto Y+M. Of course once you enter one of the FIA sessions it counts as participation and cannot join again, the result being 0 points and frankly a lot of wasted time depending on how much practice you put in.

I’d hate to see this happen to someone during the Top 24 races...especially once we’re out of the test seasons.

Anyone have a similar experience?

Same here, I experienced 2 times.

I submitted the errors by following the screen instructions
but I wonder if it works

Here’s a bit more info on CE-34878-0 and what to do when you get it...

An error has occurred with the application.

1. Close the application, install the latest System Software and game updates and restart the system.
2. If you have upgraded the Hard Disk Drive ("HDD") in your system, please re-install the original HDD.
3. If the error occurs again, back up your saved data, and then go to [Settings] > [Initialization] and choose [Initialize PS4].
4. If the error occurs with every application, or as soon as the application starts, please contact PlayStation Support.

I had a disconnect during the Manufacturer race here on Tuesday (?) Gutted was running reasonably well too.

Same here I think it may be update related? Not had issues before.

Also had this during the Kyoto Y+M Race, joined the group as Car 1 so was hoping for a good Qualification but as I exited the pits and round to the 1st corner noticed no one else had made it out of the pits then everyone started disconnecting. Gutted Nil points.

It’s strange, it only happens to me in the FIA sessions...I have run quite a few Daily Sport Mode races without issue.

It happened to me once pre qualification at the brands hatch manufacturer race earlier this week and then once again in the livery editor the next day

I watched a live stream where this did happen to someone who had made the top 24 race.

Ouch...Top 24 is way too vital to get screwed by an ongoing error.

There’s something going on here.

Maybe those with a line to PD can bring it to their attention.

The fact that it only occurs during FIA sessions (edit: though once in livery editor) tells me it’s something game related and not hardware. Not that I know anything about this stuff...haha

Greetings from position 1 on lap 7/12 in the manufacturers race.

Me and my Mercedes team felt confident that this could have been the first win with a G29.

We were wrong..

Only the second time I have been kicked from a race, and the last time was also a FIA race..

Yikes, mid-race and leading...my condolences.

Good luck to you and your Mercedes team in the next one.

It doesn't, I've had it in a normal sport race after the warm up had just ended. Also if you watch there is usually at least on person who leaves during the warm up period, who knows how many are because of this blue screen error but it will be some of them at least.
