Regarding Star Player status in FIA events, my understanding is that just getting a top 200 season finishing position in the Nations cup, will not qualify the driver for star player status when competing in the Manufacturer cup? Can anyone confirm / clarify that my understanding of the FIA star players qualification system is correct or incorrect, as follows.

There are 2 star player types, nations cup and manufacturer. To qualify for star player status in both manufacturers cup and nations cup, the driver must finish in the top 200 results in both FIA competitions, not just one or the other.

This is the text from the GT Sport website about it, and the statements above are my interpretation of them, although I guess that the below text could also be interpreted as saying that, if the driver gets a top200 finish in either Nations OR Manufacturers, they will achieve Star Player status...:

The players at the top of the Season's ranking can register as “Star Players” on gran-turismo.com.
The Star Player prerequisites for each Region are as follows:
Nations Cup: Top 200 players in a Season's ranking, or the top 10 players for each country
Manufacturer Series: Top 200 players in a Season's ranking, or the top 10 players from each manufacturer

Doesn’t mention the fact whether you need to be A+ or not either as far as I could see, probably do and I know that you are so not a problem. But as you say this explanation of the system isn’t clear. I was under the impression you only need one but it seems you need both.
