Boss-Barracuda
Im so happy that i finally have one now (except for the fact that im going to have to work my but off to pay it off because my parents paid for it)

Coincidentally while doing my usual rummaging through the GM dealerships trash, I found a car seat in great condition. It doesn't have a headrest and needs to be cleaned, but after that it can be used to make a cockpit.

Any advice for a cockpit? Are there any games on the ps2 that support the clutch feature?

Until you can get yourself a driving setup I'd recommend looking at a portable tool stand from sears.com. That's what I'm using until I finish mine and it works very well. As for any PS2 games using the cluth I don't think there are any. NFS carbon does use it you might want to rent it to try your clutch out.

Sadly, I already have carbon. what a :yuck: game.

What should i put my settings to once i get it? Like force feedback and such

I have my settings on strong. I also change the (look back) and (nitro) buttons so the nitro is on the left. To change any of the buttons use the DFP wheel settings, as you have noticed the G25 wheel doesn't have the (START) button so the only way to exit the game is to use the {sickaxis} controller, but if you try using the controller with the wheel any other time you could lose wheel functions.

{sickaxis} controller?

Could i just plug a regular controller in and use that to exit.

{sickaxis} controller = sixaxis controller
Yes you could use a plug in controller to exit.
I'm playing on a PS3.

Heres another game which apply clutch, D1 Grand Prix. Its a racing/drifting game
by yuke's (the same person who sponsored N.Kumakubo and make SVR 2007)
but if you dont like that game,go and try Kaido Battle (or Kaido racer or Tokyo Extreme Drift.Same game, different name) or even The Fast And The Furious. But all of this game has one thing in common, all this game has Drift in it! (its the only reason why you use the clutch,to clutch kick!) Well, congrats on your new G25!! :) Im really jealous that another person had a g25 before me :guilty: .Hope i can get mine for my birthday :dopey:

I refuse to buy F&F for what its has done to America.

As for games meant for drifting, that's not really my style. I drift in GT4 because its different, and takes a good amount of skill to do.

EDIT: I was looking at some enthusia videos, and is it just me, or is enthusia basically GT4 with different cars and physics.

well, you consider enthusia as a competitor to GT but is nothing close compared to GT4.The graphic is nice, but the game is too Arcadish and there's just not enough cars (the enthusia "life" mode is just plain weird). I rather play something like test drive:unlimited than enthusia. Its just a waste of money (to me)

I just got my G25 today and its great. I tested it on nfs carbon and it actually makes that game somewhat enjoyable to play. My makeshift cockpit does hurts my legs though because i'm using a fold out table, so i have to squeeze my legs through it to get to the pedals.

What does everyone use for settings on GT4. I first tried amateur then for the heck of it went for simulation. God that was hard to do, especially when your still not used to the steering wheel itself, lol.
