Finally... I have hanging pedals (GT Style)

Hello folks,

many years now I only had my pedals mounted in F1 style (standing) on wheelstand, rig & co.

But today I finally got another shipment of some aluminium profiles & accessoires and converted my pedals to hanging ones.

I'm quite happy with the outcome. Only tested a bit "offline" (with PC off) so far but it feels very good.

Now I'm here to encourage people, who thought about doing this, to do it. I thought it would be an eazy peazy task but it took me 3 hours to build, integrate and adjust everything. 2 persons for this would be really easier.

I also had to extend the cables coming from clutch and throttle as they switched sides from being upside down now, but luckily those cables and connectors are very very cheap.

You might think it's not that different from standing pedals, but pressing on standing tables is more stress for the ankle and driving for a longer time should be more comfortable with hanging pedals. I also look forward to get a tiny bit more brake control.

I left the throttle standing as it's a common configuration. But I can now easily switch them to hanging position just to try out which is better (everything prepared for that)

That's how it was before:

Soooo... now I can think about what the next addition to my rig could be haha... it never ends.

Looks clean, nice. Where do you rest the balls of your feet though? On that thin black strip?

well it's not that thin. it's as big as the one with the throttle. 120mm. It's three of these black strips and it's actually pretty nice. but I think about replacing it with something else.

So did my first 2 hour race in ACC with them... absolutely amazing brake control.

Much better feeling than with standing pedals. But I somehow cannot press the brake as hard as before now, I think I have to adjust the angle of the pedals a bit. with standing pedals I had the Loadcell calibrated to 55kg pressure on the pedal, that's 101kg on the loadcell due to the leverage.

It's a 120kg Loadcell, so maximum force on this pedal is 65kg until the loadcell reached its maximum, but that's too friggin hard for my untrained body :D and only half of that, what a real race driver has to apply on his pedal.

So I dialed the loadcell down to 51kg force on pedal (95kg loadcell) for now.

I could also use some other rubbers. I made the brake on the second stiffest setting since this is recommended for GT cars (stiffest setting is LMP and Formula like).
