FINALLY my new Volk wheels are here!!!

After waiting nearly 6 weeks, getting taken for a ride by a fraudulent company (never do business with wheelstudio.com), and a dramatic mounting and balancing, I've finally ended up with a different set of wheels altogether than what I had originally decided on, and I couldn't possibly be happier. Here are just a few shots I took this afternoon...it sounds cliché, but trust me when I say the pictures really don't do them justice!

The wheels are silver Volk (RAYS) GT-C's (2-piece, lightweight forged wheels), 19x8.5 in front and 19x9.5 in the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires, 245/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. Here's just a few quick shots I took in my driveway this afternoon, I'm going to plan a real "photoshoot" soon (please excuse all the sticks - we've been having really bad storms).

I actually drove about 30 miles on them just since yesterday morning (lots of cruising last night, hah), and I am extremely impressed. Coming from Goodyear Eagle RS-A's stock, these new Pilots are incredibly quiet and smooth. They really have been perfect so far. Since they are so new I've been pretty easy on them, with only about 2 spirited turns, but I was rewarded with the tightest and most sure-footed performance I've felt from my car. It really does feel like a new vehicle, as if the performance envelope has been doubled.

In short, I highly recommend them. 👍

May I ask what type of wax do you use? The shine and reflection look superb.

Thanks! I actually use something called Lustrelab LXR instead of wax. My mom ordered it for me off of QVC of all places, and I just rolled my eyes at her at first, but after the first application I was really impressed and have been using it for nearly a year now.

I personally wouldn't normally be keen on thoes rims but I think they really suit that car. Whatever you do never do that to a car in Manchester, they can nick your wheels and put your car on bricks while your driving over here lol.

The one thing that needs to change on that car are the doos handles, I know your not going to do that but don't you think the designers couldv'e done a bit better in that area. The rest of the car looks nice and stylish, all exept the door handles. I'm being picky I know.

I wanted Axis Milano's before, here's a picture of them. In a way it worked out good that I got ripped off by wheelstudio.com (where I had the Milano's ordered), because I don't think I would like them as much and I know that I got a lot higher quality wheel.
